Nirmal Purja "Nimsdai"
Nirmal Purja (often called Nimsdai) is one of the most influential mountaineers in modern history. Born in Myagdi, Nepal, in 1983, he first served in the British Army's Brigade of Gurkhas and later became the first Gurkha to join the UK's elite Special Boat Service (SBS). After leaving the military, he dedicated himself to high-altitude mountaineering and quickly became a global icon.
Best known globally for his record-breaking "Project Possible" in 2019—where he summited all 14 of the world's peaks over 8,000 meters in just 6 months and 6 days—he fundamentally reshaped modern high-altitude mountaineering
Nirmal Purja's greatest achievements
• Climbed all 14 mountains over 8,000 meters in just 6 months and 6 days (2019).
-This was the famous Project Possible.
-It shattered the previous record of nearly 8 years.
• Led the first successful winter ascent of K2 (8,611 m) in January 2021.

- Numerous speed records on the world's highest mountains.
