🚀 Cosmic Clickbait: The Truth About “Comet C/2025 A1”

You might’ve seen the viral post claiming that on October 21, 2025, Comet C/2025 A1 will pass just *0.15 million km from Earth closer than the Moon! Sounds dramatic, but here’s the truth:

▪️No such comet exists. Astronomers track all close-approaching comets, and “C/2025 A1” isn’t one of them.
▪️The real comet is C/2025 A6 (Lemmon), due at the end of October, but it will be tens of millions of km away — not brushing past Earth.
▪️If a 1.2 km comet really came that close, it wouldn’t be a pretty sky show; it’d be an extinction-level event.

So why do these posts spread? Big numbers, dramatic images, and a dash of fear make great clickbait.

C/2025 A6 (Lemmon)

▪️Best Visibility: It is expected to be at its brightest (potentially visible to the unaided eye from a dark location) around October 31st to November 1st, 2025.
▪️Time and Direction: During late October, it should be visible in the evening sky after sunset, low over the western horizon.
▪️Close Approach: The comet makes its closest approach to Earth on October 21, 2025.

Verdict: The “Moon-close comet” is pure fiction. Enjoy the real sky, not the cosmic clickbait.
