The City University of Pasay (CUP) held its Baccalaureate Mass and Gawad Parangal 2026 on Tuesday, June 23, at the Shrine of St. Therese of the Child Jesus in Newport, Pasay City. The event brought together university administrators, faculty, and local officials to honor the achievements of the graduating class.
The program opened with a Baccalaureate Mass and the Entrance of Colors, offering graduating CUPians a moment to reflect on their years of perseverance and spiritual growth.
Inspiring messages were delivered by local officials, including Pasay City Mayor Imelda "Emi" Calixto-Rubiano, Vice Mayor Mark Anthony Calixto, Congressman Antonino "Tony" G. Calixto, and Education Committee Chairman Luigi Calixto-Rubiano. University President Dr. Rosanie F. Estuche and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Maribel R. Gabuat also shared words of guidance.
Led by Office of Student Affairs (OSA) Dean, Prof. Kenneth Nyl C. Oresco, RGC, LPT, the Gawad Parangal honored deserving students with departmental, Student Mandated Organizations (SMO), and OSA awards for leadership, service, and excellence.
The event concluded with messages of gratitude from Vice President for Administration Martin Elwood Rivera and former CSC President Ivy Ellamil, and a closing remarks by Prof. Oresco, followed by the singing of the CUP Hymn.
The milestone marked a shared success for both the future graduates and the entire supportive CUP community. Their entire journey has finally paid off.
