The City University of Pasay (CUP) held its Baccalaureate Mass and Gawad Parangal 2026 on Tuesday, June 23, at the Shrine of St. Therese of the Child Jesus in Newport, Pasay City. The event brought together university administrators, faculty, and local officials to honor the achievements of the graduating class.

The program opened with a Baccalaureate Mass and the Entrance of Colors, offering graduating CUPians a moment to reflect on their years of perseverance and spiritual growth.

Inspiring messages were delivered by local officials, including Pasay City Mayor Imelda "Emi" Calixto-Rubiano, Vice Mayor Mark Anthony Calixto, Congressman Antonino "Tony" G. Calixto, and Education Committee Chairman Luigi Calixto-Rubiano. University President Dr. Rosanie F. Estuche and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Maribel R. Gabuat also shared words of guidance.

Led by Office of Student Affairs (OSA) Dean, Prof. Kenneth Nyl C. Oresco, RGC, LPT, the Gawad Parangal honored deserving students with departmental, Student Mandated Organizations (SMO), and OSA awards for leadership, service, and excellence.

The event concluded with messages of gratitude from Vice President for Administration Martin Elwood Rivera and former CSC President Ivy Ellamil, and a closing remarks by Prof. Oresco, followed by the singing of the CUP Hymn.

The milestone marked a shared success for both the future graduates and the entire supportive CUP community. Their entire journey has finally paid off.

The City University of Pasay (CUP) mourns the passing of Daisy G. Dela Calzada, a graduating student of the College of Education and former President of the CUP Glee Club.

Daisyโ€™s dedication to her studies, leadership, music, and involvement in campus life will be remembered by the University community. Her contributions will remain a valued part of her legacy as a Cupian.

The University extends its deepest condolences to her family, friends, classmates, mentors, and loved ones during this difficult time.

On June 19, 2026, graduating students from various academic programs of the City University of Pasay (CUP) gathered at the Cuneta Astrodome, Pasay City, for their Graduation Practice for the 31st Commencement Exercises.

Matapos ang bakasyon, unti-unti nang nagbabalik ang mga estudyante sa paaralan upang simulan ang panibagong semestre. Bitbit nila ang kani-kanilang mga pangarap, pag-asa, at hangaring makapagtapos sa kabila ng mga hamong maaari nilang harapin. Kasabay ng muling pagpasok sa silid-aralan ang pagbabalik ng mga gawain, responsibilidad, at mga bagong karanasang huhubog sa kanilang paglalakbay bilang mga mag-aaral.

Makikita sa kanilang mga mukha ang ibaโ€™t ibang damdamin. May mga masayang muling makakasama ang kanilang mga kaibigan, may mga kinakabahan sa mga bagong g**o at asignatura, at mayroon ding tahimik na naghahanda para sa mga hamong naghihintay sa kanila. Habang sinusuri ang kanilang mga talaan at hinihintay ang susunod na hakbang, unti-unti nilang tinatanggap ang panibagong yugto ng kanilang buhay-estudyante.

Hindi man laging madali ang pag-aaral, patuloy pa ring nagsisikap ang bawat isa. Sa likod ng maagang paggising, mahabang biyahe, at mga gabing inilalaan sa pag-aaral, dala nila ang pag-asang balang araw ay maaabot nila ang kanilang mga mithiin.

Para sa maraming estudyante, ang bawat pagpasok sa paaralan ay hindi lamang tungkol sa pag-aaral. Ito rin ay sumasalamin sa pagtitiyaga, pagsisikap, at patuloy na pagbangon sa kabila ng mga pagsubok. Sa bawat araw na kanilang nilalakaran ang mga pasilyo ng paaralan, isa rin itong hakbang na mas naglalapit sa kanila sa mga pangarap na nais makamit at sa mas magandang kinabukasang kanilang binubuo.

Bilang paghahanda sa pagbubukas ng klase para sa Taong Panuruan 2026โ€“2027, nagsagawa ng Brigada Eskwela ang City University of Pasay (CUP) Central Student Council (CSC), katuwang ang iba't ibang konseho ng kolehiyo, na may temang โ€œSama-samang Gawa; Para sa Magandang Kinabukasan, Handa!โ€ ngayong ika-21 ng Hunyo 2026 sa Ground Floor ng CUP.

Pormal na sinimulan ang programa sa pamamagitan ng pambungad na mensahe ng bagong halal na Presidente ng CSC, Princes Ann Babol, na nagpahayag ng kanyang taos-pusong pasasalamat sa lahat ng mga boluntaryong nakiisa at naglaan ng oras upang maging matagumpay ang nasabing gawain.

Kasunod nito ang pamamahagi ng mga kagamitan sa paglilinis at pagtatalaga ng mga lugar na lilinisin ng bawat konseho. Ang CSC at College of Nursing and Midwifery (CONM) ay naatasan sa ground floor, ang College of Education (COED) sa ikalawang palapag, ang College of Office Administration and Computer Technology (COACT) at College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) sa ikatlong palapag, habang ang College of Business Administration (CBA) Student Council naman ay sa ikaapat na palapag.

Pagkatapos nito, nagbahagi naman ng pangwakas na mensahe si Steven Truman Brieva, ang bagong halal na Sergeant-at-Arms ng CSC. Aniya, pinasasalamatan niya ang lahat ng mga nakiisa at dumalo sa inisyatibang ito.

Ipinakita ng Brigada Eskwela ang diwa ng pagkakaisa, bolunterismo, at malasakit ng mga mag-aaral sa kanilang pamantasan. Sa pamamagitan ng sama-samang pagkilos, nakatutulong ang ganitong inisyatiba sa paglikha ng isang malinis, ligtas, at maayos na kapaligiran na makatutulong sa mas produktibong pagkatuto ng mga estudyante sa nalalapit na pagbubukas ng klase.
