As stated in 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟰 and 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟲 of the UELEC Rules 2024, all candidates and party are reminded to strictly observe proper conduct during the campaign period. Campaigning must be responsible, respectful, and in line with the rules. 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀, and 𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 are 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱. Candidates are also accountable for the actions of those they encourage or solicit to support their campaign.

Candidates from different college department gathered for the General Assembly this evening, July 15, 2025, at 5:00 PM onwards in the CUP Boardroom.

The program was organized by the University Election Commission (UELEC) led by Student Commissioner for Rules and Guidelines, Ma. Rosalyn M. Babaran. Ms. Babaran emphasized the UELEC Rules and Regulations, covering campaign activities, campaign contributions donations and sponsor, prohibited to campaign, and the calendar for campaign period.

Dean of the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), Prof. Kenneth Nyl Oresco, RGC, LPT recognized the UELEC and candidates. On his last message, Prof. Oresco looking for a peaceful election.

"I'm looking for a peaceful election," Prof. Oresco said.
"May the best person win the office," He added.

The assembly serve as an orientation for the upcoming College Council Election 2025. This is part of its initiative to ensure a fair, organized, and well-informed election period.

The University Election Commission (UELEC) addresses recent misunderstandings regarding the role of the College Election Committee (CEC). The CEC firmly states that it has 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 or amendments to the Council By-Laws. All actions and procedures are strictly in accordance with the 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹, ensuring fair, transparent, and lawful elections. The Council By-Laws remain unaltered and are respected in full.

On July 10, 2025, from 3:00 to 4:00 P.M, the City University of Pasay (CUP) held its Job Signing Ceremony in the CUP Boardroom through its Job Placement Office (JPO), in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Public Employment Service Office (PESO), and JobStart Philippines. All aiming to open new doors to sustainable careers for Pasayeño youth.

The event was led by esteemed Hon. Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano, CUP President, Dr. Rosanie F. Estuche; and DOLE-NCR Regional Director Atty. Sarah Buena S. Mirasol, with key support from Mr. Rey Sanglay (OIC Director, Makati-Pasay Field Office), Atty. Marla Olivia C. Bello-Alom (PESO Manager), Ms. Edith Felipe (Senior Admin Assistant, PESO Pasay), and Mr. Armin Donado (HR Manager, Kitchen City).

Among the highlights was a message from Dr. Julita Mendoza, one of the pillars behind CUP’s Job Placement Office, who also acknowledged her involvement in community service and employment programs.

They are united in call to action: create more jobs, spark more hope.

The City University of Pasay (CUP) College of Education (COEd) held a Field Study Orientation for Pre-Service Teachers on July 10, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. The orientation, themed "Future-Ready Teachers: Field Study Orientation for a Changing World," took place on the CUP Ground Floor.

The program, led by Prof. Eroll A. Beja as Master of Ceremony, commenced with Welcome Remarks from Dr. Estrellita V. Puti-an, the Head of the Secondary Department. Followed by the speech of University President, Dr. Rosanie F. Estuche, that delivered an inspirational message, encouraging participants to inspire students and fully commit to their passions. Next in line is the Guest Speaker from Pasay City West High School (PCWHS), Prof. Rodolfo Del Rosario, who concisely discussed the Child Protection Policy and the need for teachers to adhere to DepEd orders. The Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Maribel R. Gabuat, also addressed the importance of pre-service teachers and its takeaway for student-educators. Finally, a message from the Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Melvin M. Crisostomo, discussed Experiential Learning Courses before the program concluded with remarks from Dr. Rolando Soriano, Head of the Elementary Department.

This orientation helped and gave knowledge to pre-service teachers for their field study.

Composed of one faculty and student commissioners from different colleges, the UELEC ensures that every campus election is fair, transparent, and properly implemented

The student manual book is universal for the community. With clear guidelines for notices, timelines, and campaign periods, this revision reinforces that all electoral procedures, whether for College Councils (CCs) or the Central Student Council (CSC) will be managed under the UELEC's supervision.

3. Must not have any failing grade, including official and unofficial dropped or withdrawn. In the event that the candidate has an incomplete grade, he/she must complete it before filing for candidacy. If the candidate is a transferee, he/she must not have a failing grade, including official and unofficial drops or withdrawals from his/her previous school.
4. For the Executive positions, candidates must be enrolled for four (4) consecutive semesters.
