The Collab: Where Faith and Fellowship Meet
By: Coleen Gequinto
On March 7–8, 2026, the much-awaited two-day Friendship Game took place at Lipa Adventist Academy. The event gathered three schools—Manila Adventist College Senior High School (MAC-SHS), Adventist University of the Philippines Academy (AUPA), and Lipa Adventist Academy (LAA)—for a celebration of friendship, faith, and sportsmanship.
The first day, the Sabbath, brought a spirit of unity and friendship as students from different schools gathered as one in Christ. The worship carried the theme “Unshaken,” with Dr. Richard Tamayo, highlighting the message of healing and encouraging listeners to let go of what hurts and to trust that true healing takes time. From Sabbath School to Sundown Worship, students, teachers, and everyone present eagerly came together in one place to fellowship and worship God through wonderful voices and inspiring messages.
As the sun set, the games of friendship began. Badminton and table tennis brought students closer together through laughter and fun. The atmosphere was filled with cheers as students supported one another and enjoyed the friendly competition.
Later that evening came the most awaited Social Night. The SA officers from LAA led the event as students eagerly participated in different games and activities. Laughter, new bonds, music played by bands, and photobooths made the night truly memorable. The evening ended with warm goodnights and a cheerful “see you tomorrow.”
The next morning arrived with excitement filling the air. Athletes from all participating schools were introduced in a lively parade, followed by the oath of sportsmanship. Soon after, the much-anticipated matches began—basketball, volleyball, and table tennis—while students enthusiastically cheered for their teams as the spirit of friendship grew even stronger.
As the event came to an end, many felt sad to leave but grateful for the new friendships formed during the event. It was truly a reflection of three schools, two days, and one faith. Until they meet again, everyone holds on to the hope of seeing one another soon—and ultimately, of being together forever with their best Friend, Jesus, when He soon returns and brings His children home to heaven.
