Marriott PH Business Council “The Charity Golf” named Charity Event of the Year

Manila Marriott Hotel at Newport World Resorts Hotel Manager Mohamed “Mo” Ali (center), accepted the 7th Philippine Sports Tourism Awards Charity Event of the Year trophy for the annual tournament, “The Charity Golf” in behalf of the Marriott Worldwide Business Councils – Philippines from (L-R) Chairman and Founder of the Philippine Sports Tourism Awards Charles Lim, Chairman of Philippine Sports Association Patrick Gregorio, Philippine Department of Tourism Undersecretary Shahliman Hofer Tamano and Philippine Hotel Owners Association Executive Director Benito Bengzon, Jr. The Charity Golf is a project designed and led by Manila Marriott Hotel.

The Marriott Worldwide Business Councils – Philippines’ (MWBC-PH) “The Charity Golf” has been honored at the 7th Philippine Sports Tourism Awards as the “Charity Event of the Year”. The Charity Golf, a project led by Manila Marriott Hotel at Newport World Resorts, is now on its 6th tournament year. “This award is a true testament to the power of our community and what we can achieve when we come together for a meaningful purpose, which makes kindness go in full swing,” says Dottie Wurgler, Chair of MWBC-PH. Over 600 celebrities, sports icons, passionate golf enthusiasts, Marriott Bonvoy members, and business council supporters supported the tourney during the first five tournaments, raising over PHP8 million which benefited thousands of children under the care of Save the Children Philippines.

Country of Honor Philippines brings nation’s largest trade delegation to CAEXPO 2026

Programmed for business and growth, the Philippines positions itself as a capable investment hub for technological agility, resilient supply chain, and green economy

The Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), the export promotion arm of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), officially brings the Philippines to the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) at the Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center (NICEC) in Guangxi, China. Happening from 17 to 21 September 2026, the country’s delegation is set to prove the theme, “The Philippines is Programmed for Business and Growth.”

Serving as the designated “Country of Honor” for the second time since 2013, the Philippines presents its largest commercial participation in CAEXPO history. Anchored by a 313-strong national delegation—including 73 high-value export enterprises in the Commodity Pavilion and a strategic National Pavilion featuring Cebu Province as the official “Province of Charm”—the country presents a multi-sectoral showcase under the national banner PARTNERPhilippines.

“CITEM did not build this milestone alone; it was forged by the ambition and product innovation of our 73-strong exhibitors, backed by a whole-of-government ecosystem,” according to CITEM. “Every deal closed and every partnership forged on this floor directly feeds into the country’s overall economic growth, elevating the Philippine export nation on the global stage.”

The much-awaited Likhang Habi Market Fair (LHMF) returns to SPACE at One Ayala in Makati City from October 9 to 11, 2026. With the theme “Worth Every Thread”, the fair promises a weekend of inspired designs that celebrates the best of Filipino artistry, heritage, and the future of Filipino textiles.

The flagship project of HABI: The Philippine Textile Council, the three-day event brings under one roof a carefully curated selection of 100 exhibitors including weavers, artisans, designers, makers, and textile advocates.
