8AM, October 19, 2025
Tropical storm Ramil remains over the coastal waters of Quezon province.
At 7 a.m., it was over the coastal waters of Mauban, Quezon, packing winds of 65 kph with gusts up to 90 kph, and moving west northwestward at 20 kph.
Wind signal no. 2 remains up in 17 areas including northern Metro Manila; southern portions of Ilocos, Cordillera, and Cagayan Valley; most of Central Luzon; northeastern CALABARZON; and northwestern Bicol.
30 other areas in Luzon are still under signal no. 1.
Ramil will make another landfall over Quezon province this morning then cross the Southern-Central Luzon area and emerge over the West Philippine Sea later this afternoon or evening.
It will be out of the Philippine area of responsibility Monday morning or noon.

Pansamantalang pinapasuspinde ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) ang mga biyahe ng pampublikong transportasyon sa ilang bahagi ng bansa bukas, 26 Setyembre 2025, dahil sa inaasahang magiging masamang epekto ng Bagyong “Opong.”

Kasama sa nasabing mga lugar ang Biliran, Easter Samar, Masbate, Metro Manila, Northern Samar, Romblon, Samar at Sorsogon. Kaugnay nito, suspendido rin ang mga transaksyon sa tanggapan ng ahensya sa mga nabanggit na lugar. Ito ay paghahanda sa maaaring malakas na pagbuhos ng ulan, pagbaha, at pagguho ng lupa.

Hinihikayat din ang mga motorista, pasahero, at operator ng pampublikong transportasyon na manatiling nakatutok sa opisyal na anunsyo ng aming ahensya at sa lokal na pamahalaan kung sakaling palalawigin ang suspensyon.

Laging isaalang-alang ang kaligtasan at iwasan ang hindi kinakailangang paglalakbay.
