Mangosteen is a bright purple-colored fruit. It is succulent, tangy, and sweet. It provides around 75 calories for 100 gram and is highly nutritious and a rich source of carbohydrates and dietary fiber. Its peel is rich in antioxidants and xanthonoids. It also contains minerals like iron, calcium, potassium, magnesium, and zinc.
The fruit contains antioxidants which effectively control the metabolism of glucose in the blood. It helps reduce insulin resistance of the body.
However, we have to understand that diabetes has no cure and its treatment consists of many elements that you and the doctors will consider.
