𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | In a significant move to strengthen its digital defense and secure the integrity of its pension systems, Chief, AFPPGMC, Commodore Luidegar C Casis PN, paid a courtesy visit to the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) on July 07, 2025 to collaborate in enhancing cybersecurity protection within the AFPPGMC.

The CICC, through its Deputy Executive Director, Renato “Aboy” Paraiso, welcomed the AFPPGMC delegation and underscored the critical role of cybersecurity awareness and education, not just among AFPPGMC personnel, but also among its pensioners both retired and legal beneficiaries. He emphasized that informed and vigilant users are the first line of defense against cyber threats, especially nowadays where phishing, identity theft, and online scams are becoming more sophisticated.

During the visit, Commodore Casis emphasized the operational requirement to secure AFPPGMC’s digital platforms amidst increasing threats of cyberattacks targeting government institutions. With the AFPPGMC’s digital transformation and pension system modernization efforts, safeguarding sensitive data and ensuring uninterrupted services to military retirees remain a top priority.

Director Paraiso likewise offered its technical capabilities to help develop and establish protective measures for the Center’s systems and users. This initiative also complements with AFPPGMC’s flagship HEROES (Helping Every Retiree Obtain Enhanced Services) Program, which underscores the Center’s commitment on safeguarding the welfare of the AFP retirees through its reliable service delivery and digital resilience, living up to its theme of “𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭.”

The visit marked a promising beginning of a stronger partnership between the AFPPGMC and CICC in ensuring that the pension funds and pensioner’s information entrusted to the Center are protected, reliable, and safe. Through this joint effort, both agencies reaffirm their commitment to serving the Filipino military community with integrity and security in the digital age.

𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞, 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐛𝐲 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞

𝐀𝐅𝐏𝐏𝐆𝐌𝐂, 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐳𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 | Men and women of the AFP Pension and Gratuity Management Center (AFPPGMC) are taking an active role in the ongoing construction of a new parking area inside the compound, a project made possible through the generous support of the Veterans Bank of the Philippines.

Far from being mere observers, AFPPGMC personnel are directly involved in on-site activities, including manual labor, coordination, and oversight. Their participation reflects a deep sense of ownership, the spirit of “𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐡𝐚𝐧”, and a shared commitment to improving their workplace.

𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐓 𝐁𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐈𝐎, 𝐓𝐀𝐆𝐔𝐈𝐆 𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐘 | In a continued effort to uphold the welfare of retired personnel in the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the Chief, AFP Pension and Gratuity Management Center (AFPPGMC), Commodore Luidegar C Casis PN, paid a courtesy call on the Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA), Lieutenant General Roy M Galido PA, to strengthen collaboration in support of retiring military personnel and AFP pensioners.

During the courtesy call, LtGen Galido expressed his firm support for the role of AFPPGMC in preserving the integrity of the AFP pension system and securing the well-being of the retiring military personnel. While emphasizing the need for continued modernization, he also underscored the irreplaceable value of verbal and personal communication across Army units for the effective dissemination of retirement-related information.

Commodore Casis presented the Center’s current thrusts, focusing on the implementation of the flagship 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐎𝐄𝐒 (𝐇elping 𝐄very 𝐑etiree 𝐎btain 𝐄nhanced 𝐒ervices) 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦. The program prioritizes the streamlining of pension management, infrastructure upgrades, digital innovation, and direct outreach to both pensioners and active uniformed personnel. These initiatives reflect AFPPGMC’s unwavering pursuit of its core motto “𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭”, by ensuring that soldiers are guided well before they transition out of active service.

𝐀𝐅𝐏𝐆𝐌𝐂 – 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟏𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 | The Armed Forces of the Philippines Pension and Gratuity Management Center (AFPPGMC) officially launched its Parking Area Enhancement Project today through a ceremonial groundbreaking held at Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City. This significant initiative is more than just an infrastructure upgrade. It symbolizes AFPPGMC’s enduring commitment to improve accessibility, safety, and service delivery for AFP pensioners, their families, its personnel, and guests.

Gracing the event were representatives from the Philippine Veterans Bank (PVB), whose invaluable partnership played a key role in making this project possible. Present during the ceremony were Mr. Edwin T. Amahan, Senior Vice President and Head of the Branch Banking Group; Mr. Peter Paul V. Laud, Senior Vice President; Ms. Rowena B. Nuyda, Assistant Vice President and Head of the Sales Division; Mr. Arnold M. Samson and Ms. Aleli S. Quevedo, Branch Marketing Officers from the Camp Aguinaldo Branch; Ms. Theresa D. Medina, General Manager and Designer; and Architects Jessa M. Naval and Merylle Oliquing.

In his heartfelt message, Mr. Edwin Amahan emphasized that the Philippine Veterans Bank and AFPPGMC are “standing on common ground,” united by a shared purpose: to serve the heroes of the nation. He reminded everyone that whether one is a retiree or a future retiree, they are considered veterans, men and women who have selflessly served our country. "The Philippine Veterans Bank exists to serve you. Know that we are always here to support you,” he declared. Mr. Amahan further underscored that their involvement in this project is just the beginning. He reaffirms the Bank’s commitment to supporting future initiatives that will benefit the AFP retiree community. “Commodore Casis, if you have worthy endeavors in the future, we are here to support you,” he added, before warmly congratulating AFPPGMC on this milestone initiative.

Leading the activity was the Chief, AFPPGMC, Commodore Luidegar C Casis PN, joined by the officers, enlisted personnel, and civilian human resource of the Center. Commodore Casis reflected on the significance of the ceremony that the groundbreaking is not merely the start of a physical structure, but a symbol of a unified commitment to build a better future for our heroes. “We treat our pensioners as heroes. They ought to enjoy their retirement because they have served our country well. This is our way of giving back to our retirees,” he added.

As he also humbly mentioned his own nearing retirement in 2026, Commodore Casis reaffirmed his dedication to making every initiative count, leaving behind a legacy of service rooted in gratitude and action. He acknowledged the Philippine Veterans Bank as more than just a financial institution. "A bank with a heart for the soldier and for the retiree.”

𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐠 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 – 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟏𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 | In a significant move to enhance public service delivery for military pensioners, the AFP Pension and Gratuity Management Center (AFPPGMC) received five refurbished, high-performance computer sets from the 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐜𝐨 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. A gesture that goes beyond technology, symbolizing deep respect and continued remembrance for the country’s veterans.

The ceremonial handover, conducted at the One Meralco Foundation Office located at Meralco Compound, Ortigas Avenue, Barangay Ugong, Pasig City, was attended by 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐋𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐫 𝐂 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐏𝐍, Chief, AFPPGMC, along with his team, and key representatives from the Foundation. The initiative was made possible through the efforts of 𝐌𝐫. 𝐑𝐚𝐥𝐩 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐚𝐧, Meralco’s Ambassador to the AFP and longtime advocate of veteran support, with the endorsement of 𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐨, President of the One Meralco Foundation.

Ang tema ngayong taon “𝑲𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒂𝒏, 𝑲𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒃𝒖𝒌𝒂𝒔𝒂𝒏, 𝑲𝒂𝒔𝒂𝒚𝒔𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒏" ay paalala ng ating tungkulin bilang Pilipino. Patuloy nating ipaglaban ang kalayaang ating tinatamasa, pangalagaan ang kinabukasan ng susunod na salinlahi, at pahalagahan ang ating mayamang kasaysayan.

Sa harap ng mga pagbabago at hamon ng panahon, higit kailanman ay kinakailangan ang ating pagkakaisa upang mapanatili ang demokrasya, kapayapaan, at kaunlaran.

Nawa'y magsilbing inspirasyon ang diwa ng Araw ng Kalayaan upang patuloy tayong magkaisa sa pagbuo ng isang mas makatarungan, mapayapa, at maunlad na Pilipinas.
