The Games and Amusements Board (GAB) has officially signed 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗼. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱-𝟬𝟴, 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, entitled: “𝘈 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘌𝘯𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘢𝘧𝘦𝘵𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘨𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘉𝘰𝘹𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘢𝘵𝘤𝘩 𝘉𝘦𝘵𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘗𝘕𝘗 𝘊𝘩𝘪𝘦𝘧 𝘕𝘪𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘢𝘴 𝘋. 𝘛𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘦 𝘐𝘐𝘐 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘈𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘋𝘢𝘷𝘢𝘰 𝘊𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘔𝘢𝘺𝘰𝘳 𝘚𝘦𝘣𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘯 ‘𝘉𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦’ 𝘡. 𝘋𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘦.”

Key Provisions of the Resolution:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the GAB, upon the request of PNP Chief Torre and Acting Davao City Mayor Duterte, shall:

1) Recommend a qualified and duly accredited professional referee to officiate the Torre vs. Duterte boxing match; and

2) Direct its medical team to be on standby to provide immediate assistance to the participants should the need arise.

Official Statement
On the Initial Taal Lake Site Assessment

The Department of Justice, through Secretary Remulla, confirms that during an initial technical site assessment at Taal Lake on July 10, 2025, a team from the Philippine National Police – Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG), in coordination with the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), retrieved a white sack containing what appears to be burned human bones.

This was during what was only supposed to be a preliminary inspection. However, a white sack was visibly identified and recovered from the lakebed.

As part of our evidence-based and methodical approach, the next steps are as follows:
1. To formally certify whether the remains are indeed human through proper forensic examination - this will come from either CIDG or NBI; and
2. To conduct DNA testing to determine if there is a match with any of the families of the missing individuals.

This discovery could represent a significant breakthrough in the ongoing investigation. While we proceed with caution and diligence, it offers renewed hope that we are closer to uncovering the truth and securing justice for the families of the missing.
