Reliable connectivity is becoming an essential part of everyday Filipino life as mobile data powers work, learning, business, entertainment, digital payments and AI-driven applications. In the first half of 2026, Globe recorded more than 39.6 million active mobile data users, with average monthly consumption rising to approximately 17 GB per subscriber from 15 GB last year.

Data-driven revenues also accounted for 91% of consolidated gross service revenues, reflecting the country’s accelerating digital lifestyle. With ₱26.3 billion invested in capital expenditures during the period, Globe continues to strengthen its network infrastructure as connectivity increasingly emerges as the Philippines’ “fifth utility.”

Filipino creativity is going global as De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde student Lauren Kerby Obaldo’s “Haraya sa Kalsada” was named the grand prize winner of the UPS Express Envelope Design Competition, besting nearly 400 entries.

Inspired by the Filipino jeepney, vibrant local festivals, and Clark’s growing role as a transportation and logistics hub, her artwork will soon appear on official UPS Express Envelopes carrying international shipments around the world.

The competition, organized by UPS in partnership with DLS-CSB, provided young Filipino artists with a real-world platform to showcase their talent, culture, and vision of global connectivity while celebrating UPS’s upcoming Clark hub scheduled to open later in 2026.

Bell-Kenz Pharma is bringing its Sagip CPR initiative to Cebu’s hospitality sector on August 27 at the University of Cebu–Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue Campus, in partnership with the Hotel, Resort and Restaurant Association of Cebu, Inc. (HRRACI).

The specialized training will equip lifeguards, pool and beach personnel, security teams, guest service employees, and other hospitality frontliners with practical skills to recognize and respond to drowning and other emergencies.
