Magsisilbing host city ang Lungsod ng Pasig sa inaugural FIFA Futsal Women's World Cup na gaganapin sa November 21 - December 7, 2025!

Isa ang Lungsod ng Pasig sa dalawang host cities sa Pilipinas kung saan magtitipon ang nasa 16 participating teams mula sa buong mundo!

Natukoy ang host cities matapos itong bisitahin ng ilang FIFA representatives para suriin ang imprastraktura, accessibility, at accommodation capacity sa mga nasabing siyudad. Bukod sa mga ito, naging plus factor din para sa FIFA ang pagkakaroon ng aktibong grassroots sports program sa mga lungsod.

Sa pamamagitan ng pagsisilbing host city ng kauna-unahang FIFA Futsal Women's World Cup, inaasahan na isa ito sa mga magsisilbing inspirasyon, lalo na sa mga kababaihang Pasigueño na maglaro ng futsal.

Major reason for "flash floods" along URBANO VELASCO (and connected streets including around the Mega Market, Caliwag, Esguerra, Acacia):

Yesterday, August 6, the WATER LEVEL in San Agustin Creek went up to higher than the level of our streets/drainage lines.

Kaya hindi makalabas ang tubig.

Kahit na passable pa rin at mabilis naman humupa, nakakaabala pa rin ito, lalo na sa mga naglalakad.

ACTIONS TAKEN:

(1A) Maaalala na bagong gawa ang isang bahagi ng sidewalk+drainage sa Urbano nung Disyembre. Dudugtungan pa natin ito-

(1B) Gagawin na rin po ang sidewalk+drainage sa Urbano mula sa may Acacia;

pero hindi puwedeng drainage line lang kasi mapupuno at mapupuno ito. Kaya mahalaga rin ang

(2) LGU PUMPING STATION sa Acacia (civil works 50% complete, 80% overall). (Medyo nagkaproblema ito sa contractor kaya na-delay, pero naresolbahan na naman ang problema.) Nagpalagay muna kami ng 2 portable pumps pansamantala;

(3) Nakikipag-ugnayan ang LGU sa MMDA para mapagana rin ang pumping station nila. May pinadala na silang tao rito kanina... sumisid pa nga sila para tingnan/linisin ang debris sa kanilang submersible pump;

Higit pa rito,

(5) Mukhang kailangan nang palalimin ang San Agustin Creek. Nagpapagawa ako sa Engineering ng proposal para sa DREDGING nito, pero pinatitingnan ko rin muna kasi baka may proyekto din ang nasyonal dito. Anticipate na natin ang mas mabigat pang volume ng tubig sa hinaharap.

Last po pala, kung sakaling naglakad kayo sa baha, maaaring magpakonsulta sa doktor at meron tayong Doxycycline kung kinakailangan. Lalo na kung may sugat. Pero tandaan na antibiotic po ito at hindi basta-basta iniinom at bawal din sa maliliit na bata.

🚨PCG Containing Minor Oil Spill in Manila 🚨

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) is cleaning up a 30–40 liter bunker oil spill at Estero de Pandacan, Manila after a DPWH contractor accidentally damaged an abandoned oil depot pipeline last July 30.

✅ What’s been done so far:

* Deployed two layers of oil spill booms
* Used absorbent pads and manual scooping
* Contained the spill before it could reach the Pasig River

As of yesterday, only 10–14 liters of oil remain to be removed. PCG says the situation is under control with no foul odor detected and no risk of worsening.

📌The contractor may be held liable for damages following a PCG investigation.

Mananatiling suspendido rin ang operasyon sa mga tanggapan ng gobyerno, kabilang ang sa Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Pasig, LIBAN sa mga opisina na may kinalaman sa disaster preparedness at response.
