ILANG PALACE OFFICIALS DINAGDAGAN NG TRABAHO AT KAPANGYARIHAN NI SEC. JAY RUIZ MATAPOS SIBAKIN NI PBBM ANG HALOS 20 PCO OFFICIALS
DINAGDAGAN ng trabaho at kapangyarihan ni Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Acting Sec. Jay Ruiz ang ilan sa kanyang undersecretaries at assistant secretary.
Ginawa ni Ruiz ang hakbang matapos tanggapin ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang courtesy resignations ng halos dalawampung opisyales ng PCO.
Batay sa Special Order No. 25-128 na nakalap ng DWIZ PATROL at may petsang Hunyo 11, binanggit ni Ruiz na si Usec. Michael Ubac na ang mangangasiwa sa ilang tanggapan at operating units ng PCO tulad ng Office of the Assistant Secretary for Print (OASP), Bureau of Communications Services (BCS), at Media Accreditation and Relations Office (MARO)/Office of the Assistant Secretary for Media Affairs and Relations.
Nabatid na nakatoka na rin kay Ubac ang pangangasiwa sa Presidential News Desk (PND), Unified Communications Platform (UNICOMM), at National Security Concerns Unit.
Nilinaw ni Ruiz na ang designation na ito ni Ubac ay nakapaloob pa rin sa umiiral na plantilla item at hindi ito nangangahulugan ng paglikha ng isang bagong cluster o structural unit.
Sang-ayon naman sa Special Order No. 25-129 na may kaparehong petsa, inatasan ni Ruiz si Assistant Secretary Erelson Cabatbat na asistehan si Ubac sa pagpapatupad ng kanyang bagong oversight functions, kabilang na rito ang management at coordination ng MARO, Malacañang Press Corps (MPC), at pangangasiwa sa press briefings, media coverage, event logistics, at iba pa.
Itinalaga rin si Cabatbat bilang Asec for Media Affairs and Relations.
Sa hiwalay namang Special Order No. 25-127, iniluklok ni Ruiz si Senior Undersecretary Analisa Puod bilang head ng strategic communications cluster & supervising officer for interagency communications operations.
Dahil dito, si Puod na ang mangangasiwa sa ilang tanggapan at units na nasa ilalim ng PCO tulad ng Office of the Assistant Secretary for Radio (OASR), Office of the Assistant Secretary for Television (OASTV), at Office of the Assistant Secretary for Integrated State Media News Operations (OASIAC).
Bukod dito, inatasan din si Puod na magbigay ng strategic direction at supervisory oversight sa People's Television Network, Inc. (PTNI), Intercontinental Broadcasting Corp. (IBC), Presidential Broadcast Service-Bureau of Broadcast Services (PBS-BBS), News and Information Bureau (NIB), Philippine Administrative Network Project, Strategic Communications Administrative and Finance Unit.
Subalit nilinaw ni Sec. Ruiz na mananatiling epektibo ang designation na ito ni Puod maliban na lamang kung babaguhin, ire-revoke, o papalitan sa pamamagitan ng structural orders o executive issuances. | via Gilbert Perdez (Patrol 13)
