I’ve been thinking a lot about time these last few weeks.
It may be because I marked my birthday recently, which means one more year to go until I hit a big milestone. I think about the years that have gone by so quickly, and how I now wish time would slow down just a little so I can catch my breath.
Or it may be because we just put together this issue devoted to Watches, the timepieces that keep us mindful of schedules, deadlines, and where we need to be next.
There are complicated, beautiful watches in these pages, and magnificent jewelry, too. We look at some of this year’s most talked-about timepieces from Watches and Wonders and beyond, necklaces guaranteed to turn heads, and gold, which has become more valuable than ever.
We also visited The Peninsula Manila, the grand dame of the city, now in her golden year. And because we didn’t want to miss a single F1 moment, we stayed right on track at an F1 pop-up hotel.
It’s always great to be able to live in the moment.
