On this sacred day, November 1, we celebrate and commemorate the lives of all saints, named and forgotten. It is through their holy intercession that we are drawn closer to God.

May this day remind us to live an exemplary life, one filled with compassion and love just like the saints who have guided our path to holiness, and as Christ has taught us.

PCCians, gamitin natin ang health break na ito upang mapahinga hindi lamang ang ating mga katawan, kung hindi pati na rin ang ating mga isipan. Magpahinga muna sa mga laban at pangarap na patuloy nating tinatahak, para sa mas malakas na pagbabalik.

October 24, 1945—the day the United Nations was founded, rising from the ruins of war with a promise:
That nations could choose dialogue over destruction, and dignity over division. A day that reminds us that unity is not the absence of difference, but the presence of respect.
Across cultures and continents, we gather not in sameness, but in shared hope and as Pope Francis reminds us:

“Unity does not imply uniformity, it involves the joyful recognition and acceptance of the various gifts which the Holy Spirit gives to each one.”

This unity does not erase our identities, but rather it honors them. It calls to listen deeply, to walk together,
and to place our gifts at the service of one another.

To this day, we commemorate not just an institution,
but a sacred calling:
To build peace through empathy,
To honor heritage with humility,
To lead with compassion, even when it’s inconvenient.

Peace is not passive.
It is built—through listening, through service,
through the quiet courage to stand beside one another.

So wear your pride.
Speak your truth.
Celebrate your culture.
And let this day remind us:

The world is not healed by uniformity,
but by unity—rooted in dignity,
and lived through love.

Bound by faith, compassion, and hope, the Catholic Church’s mission remains steadfast in standing with those who cannot stand on their own. This third week of October, Catholics around the world celebrate World Mission Sunday, a call for collective prayers and donations to support those in need. Indeed, this mission transcends religion; it is an act of pure compassion for others.

"𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐈𝐬 𝐖𝐄𝐀𝐑 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐓𝐚𝐱𝐞𝐬 𝐆𝐨"

Once upon a floodplain,
a mother climbed onto her rooftop
with nothing but a plastic basin and a prayer.
The water rose like rent.
The rain fell like promises.

She held her baby like a tax receipt, proof she’d paid her due in full.
Meanwhile, in a palace lined with velvet press releases.
The Young Royals smiled.
Their suits were tailored; their silence, bespoke.

"This is where our taxes go,"
Read the sign at the protest march wading through waist-high waters.
"This is where our taxes go," said the meme, with a side-by-side: left,
a drenched child walking to school through a submerged street; right,
a golden boy in designer shoes,
worth more than the monthly income of ten drenched children’s parents combined.

Where were the sandbags?
The drainage systems?
The emergency shelters?
All stitched neatly into a satin neckline, hemmed into ceremonial gowns,
zipped into the backs of bulletproof limousines that never get stuck in flood traffic.

And in this kingdom of misplaced priorities, the fairy tale lives on.
Not in cottages or carriages, but in curated social media feeds.

They go to gloved hands and pearl earrings.
They go to red carpets rolled out in the rain.
They go to threads so fine they cut through accountability.

This is not a fairytale.
This is fiscal cosplay.
This is satire in silk.
This is a metaphor that mocks.

While the people chant in the dark
“Where do our taxes go?”
“Where were our taxes really spent?”
It is in this wear our taxes went.
