Australia’s music industry is banning fully AI-generated songs from its official ARIA charts starting next week.
AI-generated tracks will also be excluded from the ARIA Awards.
However, music made with AI assistance can still qualify if humans wrote the song and performed the lead vocals and main instruments.
ARIA says the rules aim to protect human creativity while still allowing artists to use AI tools legally in music production.
