If your kids can't do away with gadgets and you are looking for show recommendations, I highly recommend Daniel Tiger. The show not only helps my son, Winter, communicate well with words and songs but also teaches him valuable life skills.
When Winter becomes clingy and doesn't want me to go to work, he then remembers Daniel's song, "Grown-ups come back."
When he gets into a fight with his siblings, he sings, "It's okay to be mad, but it's not okay to hit someone."
When I talked him through removing his diapers, Daniel helped him with his song, "If you need to go potty, stop, and go right away. Flush, wash, and be on your way."
At bedtime, he already knows his routine because of Daniel song, "Bath time, brush teeth, PJs, story and song, and off to bed."
When he's feeling sweet, he sings, "I love the special things I do with you, Mommy."
And just tonight, as we were on our way to the bedroom, he opened the door, stayed to the side, and said, "After you, Mom." What a gentleman. 🥰
