Sa bawat pagsikat ng araw, muli nating nadarama ang pulso ng kalayaan—isang matinding pag-asa na humihihip sa ating mga puso, sa isipan at diwa ng ating mga bayani. Ito ay isang alaala ng mga sakripisyo, isang patotoo sa ating lakas, at isang inspirasyon para sa ating hinaharap. Hindi ito basta isang araw lamang sa kalendaryo, kundi isang sagradong sandali kung saan muling binibigyang-buhay ang diwa ng pagkakaisa at ang pangarap ng isang bansang malaya at maunlad.

Ang kalayaan ay hindi isang destinasyon, kundi isang patuloy na paglalakbay. Isang paglalakbay na una nang itinahak ng ating mga bayani, at patuloy nating tatahakin para sa isang mas maunlad na Pilipinas. Sa pagkakaisa at pagtutulungan, ating itatayo ang bandila para sa kinabukasan na karapat-dapat sa dugo, pawis, at luha ng ating mga bayani, sapagkat ang kalayaan ay hindi lamang inihandog sa atin upang ipagdiwang—ito ay isang responsibilidad na nararapat nating protektahan. Magsilbi sanang inspirasyon ang araw na para sa ating lahat na ipagpatuloy ang paglaban at pagpapahalaga sa ating pagkakakilanlan bilang mga Pilipino sa bansang ating minamahal.

𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 | MSU-Sulu Opens SHS Enrollment for Grade 11 and 12

The Mindanao State University – Sulu Senior High School (MSU-Sulu SHS) has officially opened its enrollment period for Grade 11 and Grade 12 students for the school year 2025–2026.

The said enrollment took place at the Old Biology Building of MSU-Sulu on June 10 for incoming Grade 11 students and on June 11 for Grade 12 students.

The enrollment process was smoothly facilitated by the MSU-Sulu SHS faculty members and staff, in coordination with the Supreme Student Council and IQRA Publication. The step-by-step enrollment procedure was concluded successfully.

The following are the Enrollment Process and Requirements for the incoming Grade 11 and Grade 12 of MSU-Sulu Senior High School, Academic Year 2025-2026.

For the enrollment schedules, please refer to the following dates:

‎Last June 4, 2025, the Mindanao State University - Sulu Senior High School Department held its 8th Commencement Exercises at the MSU-Sulu Multi-purpose Gymnasium.
‎
‎The ceremony commenced at 8:30 a.m. with a processional, followed by an invocation led by Mr. Mahmoudhar J. Hassan, MAED, Director for Auxiliary and Services.
‎
‎Shortly after, the program continued with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and the MSU-Sulu Hymn. Following the singing, Khalid H. Mama, a With High Honors graduate, delivered the welcome address.
‎
‎Dr. Norman A. Abdurahman, Director of MSU-Sulu SHS and Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, formally presented the candidates for graduation. OIC SDS Dolores B. Gonzalo, Acting Assistant Schools Division Superintendent and Chief of Curriculum and Instruction Division, stood in the stead of Dr. Kiram I. Irilis, Superintendent of MBHTE-Sulu, and conferred the graduates, officially affirming their completion of the senior high school program.
‎
‎Thereafter, Jihaifa A. Ajid, RN, a faculty member of MSU-Sulu College of Health Sciences, served as the commencement speaker and delivered an inspiring address. Afterwards, the graduates' achievements were recognized through the distribution of academic awards and special awards by Dr. Abdurahman.
‎
‎Nurennor J. Balahuddin, the With Highest Honor graduate, delivered the Address of Thanks, while Alleah Celissa J. Hadjiri, a With High Honors graduate, led the Pledge of Loyalty.
‎
‎Guests who were also present during the event included Mrs. Ahadiya U. Said, Division Filipino Alternate Coordinator; Mr. Jeffrexon R. Lim, Representative of the MSU-Sulu LHS Principal; Prof. Ajid M. Sari, OIC Chancellor and Director for Integrated Science Laboratory; Prof. Al-Gajar M. Sarahadil, Director for Student Affairs; and Prof. Abdulhan N. Jannaral, Gazette Adviser.

‎Additionally, a total of 996 students completed their Senior Highschool journey with an outstanding amount of 252 students who graduated with flying colors. One (1) With Highest Honors from Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM) Strand: A total of 34 With High Honors, 30 from STEM Strand and Four (4) from the General Academic Strand: And 216 students who made it to the honors — 149 students from STEM and 68 students from General Academic Strand.

The event marked the culmination of the senior high school journey for the graduates. Ms. Dermayna Jamar and Ms. Arniza J. Kiram were the masters of ceremony.

𝐍​𝐄​𝐖​𝐒​ ​𝐅​𝐄​𝐀​𝐓​𝐔​𝐑​𝐄​ | MSU-Sulu SHS Celebrates 7th Recognition Day

Mindanao State University–Sulu Senior High School (MSU-Sulu SHS) held its 7th Recognition Day on Monday, June 2, 2025, at the MSU-Sulu Gymnasium from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The program commenced with an invocation led by Abbil Amsar of GAS 3-11, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and the MSU-Sulu Hymn. Nadzhar Ujad, a Grade 11 GAS student with High Honors, delivered the opening remarks, setting a reflective and celebratory tone for the event.

The awarding ceremony began with the distribution of academic awards for Grade 11 students. This was followed by a keynote address from the Guest Speaker, Ms. Dermayna A. Jamar, adviser of the Supreme Student Council (SSC), who delivered an encouraging message to the honorees.

After the awarding for Grade 11 achievers, a brief intermission featured a lively performance by Mr. Almudzrin Arip, a faculty member, which entertained and energized the audience.

The program continued with the awarding of special awards to the Grade 12 students, recognizing their hard work and achievements. Following the distribution of awards, Norfa Alvarez, a STEM 1-11 student with High Honors, delivered the closing remarks. Her heartfelt message expressed gratitude to the faculty, parents, and fellow students, marking a meaningful end to the celebration.

Mrs. Nurlina M. Ahmad-Rubio and Mr. Almudzrin Arip served as the Master of Ceremony.
