What is Constructive Dismissal?

You didn’t get fired. But your boss treated you so badly like cursing at you every day, insulting you, or making your job unbearable that you had no choice but to resign. That’s called constructive dismissal.

Signs that you might have experienced constructive dismissal

1. You’re cursed at or insulted every day
2. You’re humiliated or bullied at work daily
3. You’re given impossible tasks or unfair treatment
4. You’re isolated, demoted, or stressed to the point you feel unsafe or unwell
5. You resign not by choice, but because you couldn’t take it anymore

Even though you resigned, The Labor Code protects you, particularly under provisions for security of tenure and just/humane working conditions.
