𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 | Cagayan State University’s Officer-in-Charge (OIC) President, Engr. Arthur G. IbaΓ±ez, PhD, ASEAN Engineer, has pledged PHP 500,000 to support the construction of the roof for the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) Building 2.

This commitment was made earlier today during Dr. IbaΓ±ez’s visit to CSU Piat campus, where he conducted an ocular inspection of the building’s current state.

Upon seeing the building’s unfinished condition, Dr. IbaΓ±ez expressed a strong desire to assist, noting that the exposed structure underscored the immediate need for support.

His generous pledge aims to ensure that CCJE students and faculty have a safe, functional environment that meets their educational needs.

The construction of the new roof is set to begin on December 1, 2024, as per Dr. IbaΓ±ez’s instructions.

This schedule aligns with preparations for the university meet, which will be hosted at the Piat campus.

With the fast-approaching event, the university administration is prioritizing the timely completion of the project to provide improved facilities for students, faculty, and incoming guests.

π‘»π’‰π’†π’š π’”π’‚π’š 𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒏’𝒕, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒉𝒆 π’…π’Šπ’….

Nobody expected to hear of Jefry Doca in the world of pageantry, where charm flows naturally and confidence frequently gleams. Jefry, a third-year College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) MASID-TALA student, was the last person most people would have thought to see on stage.

His mild demeanor blended in with the backdrop, and he was known as the quiet and reticent student who kept to himself. He was viewed by his peers as the quiet one who was aloof from the limelight. In an unforeseen turn of events, however, Jefry found himself on a voyage that would alter his life and put his bravery, fortitude, and strength to the test.

It all started with an unanticipated motivation. Jefry's mentor, Professor Florante G. Tagudan Jr., who had a positive sense of potential, recognized something special in him. Prof. Tagudan came up to him and advised him to compete in the Mr. CCJE 2024 contest. Jefry found the suggestion nearly unimaginable, as he had never performed on stage, much less participated in a pageant. But Prof. Tagudan never wavered in his faith in him. Entering a world that was entirely unfamiliar to him, Jefry consented with a mixture of interest and hesitancy.

There was a stir in the college when Jeffry was crowned Mr. CCJE 2024. Doubts and whispers soon followed, with some doubting his competence and even his deservingness. He was perceived by many as having poor communication skills and missing the confident boldness that others naturally possessed. Feeling the pressure of people's worries on him, Jefry started to doubt himself after being hurt by the remarks but was unable to stop them.

However, he resisted allowing the criticism to define him. Jefry committed himself to training, determined to show his belonging more to himself than to anybody else. With Mr. Anghelino Andres serving as his pasarela (runway) coach and Prof. Tagudan as his coach for the Q&A segment, Jefry was relentless and focused for the next month. He walked till it came naturally to him and practiced his responses until he found his voice. He gained a little more self-assurance every day, and the reserved student started to show boldness.

The journey wasn't easy as it seemed. As the competition for Mr. CSU Piat 2024 drew nearer, the strain only increased. There were strong favorites, seasoned rivals, and charismatic confidence all around him, but Jefry maintained one edge that no one else had: his modesty and simplicity. His genuine warmth and genuineness were indescribable, and he never pretended to be someone he wasn't.

Instead of attempting to live up to expectations, he was himself when he took the stage. Ultimately, it was precisely this genuineness that won the judges over. In an unexpected triumph, the quiet and modest student Jefry Doca was crowned Mr. CSU Piat 2024. In spite of everything, he had risen, demonstrating that one did not have to be ostentatious or loud to be noticed.

Not everyone comprehends his victory even now. There are still rumors, remarks, and assessments. Jefry, however, is not deterred. He moves through the hallways with the quiet dignity of a warrior who most people will never see; he is a monarch whose strength and humility, rather than a crown, define him. His achievement may have surprised many, as he is now only the second male student in CCJE's history to win the crown.

Jefry stays the same straightforward, quiet student he has always been in spite of everything. He now, however, wears his title with a modest pride that is a monument to his fortitude and a real example of a humble king.
