TIME NA, WAKE UP NA! LET’S DO THIS! WE STILL HAVE TIME, IT’S NOT YET TOO LATE!

The recent calamities in Cebu and Masbate, earthquakes, heavy rains, floods, and landslides, are wake-up calls. Yes, they are natural, but the damage becomes greater because of our own actions, and worse, because of corruption.

Hindi lang kalikasan ang problema, kundi pati ang maling pamamahala.
Mas nagkagrabe ang kadaut, dili lang tungod sa kalamidad, kundi tungod pud sa pagkakurakot ug pagpasagad.

How can we fully prepare for disasters if funds for relief, housing, and safety projects are misused? How can we protect communities if the money for flood control or reforestation ends up in the pockets of a few?

The truth is, calamities test not only our environment, but also our integrity as a people. And sadly, corruption weakens our defense against disasters.

But we must not lose hope. Panahon na para magtinabangay, dili lang sa pag-ayo sa atong Mother Earth, kundi pati sa pagpanawagan sa tinuod nga kausaban. We need leaders who value honesty and stewardship, and citizens who act responsibly and hold each other accountable.

Nature will always have its power, earthquakes, storms, and floods will come. But the suffering of people can be lessened if we live with discipline, care for the environment, and fight corruption. Because every peso stolen is a life put at risk, and every tree cut without care is a future destroyed.

Mga kaigsuonan, mata na! Barug ta, lihok ta. Let’s care for our Earth, and let’s also fight for truth and justice. For if we want real change, it must start with us, NOW. 🌏💚
