Camarines Sur is forecasted to receive 50 to 100 millimeters of rainfall from 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟯 𝘁𝗼 𝟮𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, due to the combined effects of Tropical Cyclone Emong and the southwest monsoon (habagat), according to the latest advisory from the 𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗦𝗔-𝗗𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, issued at 11:00 A.M. today, July 23, 2025.

The heavy rainfall may cause localized flooding, particularly in low-lying areas, while landslides are deemed possible in high-risk and mountainous locations. The public is strongly advised to remain vigilant and take precautionary measures, especially in flood- and landslide-prone areas.

𝘔𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘮 𝘊𝘪𝘳𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘳 𝘕𝘰. 90

Pursuant to the memorandum issued by Malacañang Palace, work in government offices and classes at all levels are hereby suspended tomorrow, July 23, 2025 (Wednesday), in selected areas in Luzon, including the Province of Camarines Sur.

This suspension follows the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) due to the persistent heavy rainfall caused by the Southwest Monsoon.

Everyone is advised to remain vigilant and prioritize safety at all times.

| The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) Chorale proudly brought home the Gold Award – Category Champion in D2-Vocal Ensemble II during the recently concluded 2025 World Choir Festival held at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre on July 17, 2025.

Among the outstanding members of the chorale are two proud students from the College of Development Education (CDE), namely: Michelle Ann Bongcayao (BSEd Science), and Gian Phillippe San Pascual (BSEd Filipino).

This international competition, organized by the World Youth and Children Choral Artists’ Association under the artistic direction of Prof. Leon Shiu Wai Tong, gathered choirs from around the globe to celebrate musical excellence.

The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) Film and Media Arts Society (FAMAS) showcased their filmmaking prowess at the recent PelikulAgraryo 2025 awards. Their short film, Hortelano, created in collaboration with Teatro Ladawan, won three prestigious awards: 3rd Best Film (ARB Category), Best Film Teaser, and Best Film Poster.

The PelikulAgraryo 2025 film festival aimed to promote agrarian reform advocacy through creative platforms and feature inspiring stories of farmers in the Bicol Region. *Hortelano* is a testament to CBSUA FAMAS's filmmaking excellence, showcasing their ability to create impactful films that resonate with audiences.

The film's lead actor, Jimboy Gonzaga, also received a nomination for Best Actor, further highlighting the talent and dedication of the cast and crew. Their success is an inspiration to students and filmmakers striving for excellence in their craft.

After the PelikulAgraryo 2025, Jimboy Gonzaga shared his thoughts on the experience:
"First and foremost, I would like to thank God for giving us these talents, strength, and wisdom to make this film... The story of Mang Tomas is a living testament that no matter what challenges you face in life, as long as you hold on to hope, you will definitely see a victory at the end of it."

Gonzaga's portrayal of Mang Tomas—based on the true story of ARB-featured Sir Joel Manaog—showcased the struggles and triumphs of farmers in the region. He expressed gratitude to the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) for their support, particularly through Project SPLIT, which provided land for farmers to start anew.

The achievement of CBSUA FAMAS and Jimboy Gonzaga is a testament to their hard work and dedication. Their success serves as a reminder of the importance of organizations that support and promote the agricultural sector, which is vital to the community.

The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) Pili Campus conducted its 96th Commencement Exercises on June 27, 2025, at the CBSUA Athletic Grounds.

The ceremony began at around 2:00 p.m. with a processional that were joined by the graduating students, their parents, faculty, and staff.

This year, the College of Development Education (CDE) produced a total of 211 graduates. These include 41 from the Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics, 36 in Science, 44 in English, 47 in Filipino, and 43 from the Bachelor of Elementary Education.

Sofia Jane A. Morallo, the Batch Valedictorian from the Bachelor of Elementary Education program, delivered a speech emphasizing adaptability and commitment. She stated:
