Narito na ang pinakahihintay nating Schedule of Activities para sa paparating na selebrasyon ng ika-109𝙩𝙝 𝙁𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘼𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙖𝙧𝙮 and 26𝙩𝙝 𝘽𝙖𝙝𝙖𝙜𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙞 𝙁𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙡 ng 𝙋𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣 ngayong buwan ng Abril.
Bahaghari Festival is an annual week-long celebration held held every summer month of April (20-27) in Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro, Philippines.
The Rainbow Story of Pinamalayan is a cherished local legend that gives meaning to the Bahaghari Festival and the town’s name. According to folklore, early settlers of Pinamalayan were searching for a new place to call home when they saw a magnificent rainbow arching over a fertile land near the sea. Believing it was a divine sign of prosperity and abundance, they decided to settle there, naming the place "Pinamalayan," derived from the word "Ipinamalay Na!" which means it was made known. They followed the direction of the rainbow believing that at its end lies a pot of gold and good fortune which was later called "Pinamalayan".
The rainbow, or bahaghari, has since become a symbol of hope, unity, and the town’s rich heritage. Every year, the Bahaghari Festival is held to honor this story, showcasing colorful street dances, parades, and cultural performances that celebrate Pinamalayan’s history and vibrant community spirit.
The festival features a lively Grand Parade of Color, where participants don colorful costumes and perform street dances that reflect the essence of the rainbow. Various schools and community groups partake in these performances, showcasing the town's unity and creativity. In addition to the parade, the festival includes cultural presentations, religious activities, and a products and trade fair, all highlighting the rich traditions and local industries of Pinamalayan.
The Bahaghari Festival not only celebrates the town's history but also fosters community spirit, making it a vibrant and meaningful event for both locals and tourists.
