Tappo VHS Kicks Off SY 2025–2026 with First Flag Raising Ceremony

Tappo Vocational High School officially welcomed the opening of School Year 2025–2026 with its first flag raising ceremony held on June 16, 2025.

Spearheaded by the school head, Mrs. Aileen L. Lawagan, the ceremony brought together the teaching personnel, learners, and school stakeholders in a simple yet meaningful gathering at the school grounds.

In her short message, Mrs. Lawagan encouraged learners to embrace the new school year with optimism, respect, and a renewed commitment to learning. She also reminded everyone of the importance of discipline and unity in achieving both personal and school goals.

After the flag ceremony, teachers introduced themselves to their assigned classes, marking the start of new connections and shared learning journeys.

The event set a positive tone for the rest of the year, emphasizing the school’s dedication to creating a nurturing and productive learning environment for all.

TVHS Strengthens Literacy through Weeklong Brigada Pagbasa

DepEd Tayo Tappo Vocational High School is conducting its Brigada Pagbasa program from June 9 to 13, 2025, led by the school’s Phil-IRI coordinator, Ma'am Caroline L. Banawa.

This weeklong literacy initiative aims to strengthen reading proficiency among learners through the collective effort of the school and community. Teachers, parents, Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) officers, and other stakeholders actively participate in the program by facilitating reading sessions, storytelling, and guided reading tutorials.

This program is a great reminder that improving literacy is not just the responsibility of the school, but of the whole community.

The active involvement of volunteers and supporters throughout this week create a vibrant and encouraging environment for learners, fostering a renewed love for reading. TVHS continues to champion literacy and inclusive education through sustained initiatives like Brigada Pagbasa.

Tappo Vocational High School Launches Brigada Eskwela with a Heartfelt Kick-Off

TVHS officially launched its Brigada Eskwela 2025 with a warm and spirited kick-off ceremony that brought together the heart of the community—parents, learners, local authorities, and stakeholders—on Monday, June 9, 2025.

The event opened with an inspiring message from personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection, who emphasized the importance of fire safety and preparedness in schools. Their monitoring of every classroom lit a spark of awareness among attendees, reminding everyone that a safe school is built not only with tools but with teamwork and vigilance.

Parents and learners enthusiastically joined hands in cleaning and preparing classrooms, gardens, and school grounds, proving that bayanihan is alive and well in Tappo. Local stakeholders also came in full support.

Adding significance to the event was the presence of the Monitoring Team from the Schools Division Office of Kalinga led by PSDS Wilson Bulwayan, who visited the school to observe and support the ongoing Brigada efforts. Their presence brought encouragement and reaffirmed the importance of collaboration between schools and the division office.

In the afternoon, a timely orientation on traffic rules and road safety was led by PLTCOL Medie Lapangan, Chief of PICADU, together with officers from the Philippine National Police. The session aimed to equip learners and parents with knowledge on responsible commuting and driving, a concern especially relevant in the opening of classes.

More than just a clean-up drive, this year’s Brigada Eskwela kick-off served as a reminder of the power of community. With hands dirtied by work and hearts filled with purpose, Tappo VHS moves forward, ready to welcome another school year.
