AFP, PNP Conduct Information Campaign at TVHS
The AFP 103rd Infantry Battalion and the Philippine National Police (PNP) Pinukpuk conducted an Information, Education, and Campaign (IEC) activity at Tappo Vocational High School on June 10, 2026, to strengthen students' awareness of national security, public safety, and social issues.
Personnel from the AFP 103rd Infantry "Mabalasik" Battalion discussed AFP recruitment, illegal recruitment by the New People's Army (NPA), and issues and information regarding the West Philippine Sea. The discussion highlighted the importance of vigilance against recruitment by armed groups and encouraged students to become responsible and informed citizens.
Meanwhile, PCPL Christina N. Tadiwan of PNP Pinukpuk led discussions on Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC), bullying prevention, and road safety protocols. She emphasized the rights and responsibilities of students, the importance of reporting incidents of abuse and bullying, and the need to observe traffic rules to ensure personal and community safety.
Students and teachers participated in the activity and were given the opportunity to raise questions and clarify concerns on the topics discussed.
The IEC aimed to equip learners with accurate information and practical knowledge that will help them make informed decisions, protect themselves from potential threats, and contribute positively to their communities.
The activity forms part of the school's efforts to provide learners with relevant information beyond the classroom and to strengthen partnerships with government agencies in promoting a safe, informed, and responsible school community.
