(Legazpi City, August 1, 2025) The Provincial Government of Albay is working to speed up the construction of the new Pio Duran Memorial District Hospital in Barangay Caratagan.

The move was due to flooding of the original hospital in Barangay 2, Poblacion, caused by the recent Southwest Monsoon.

Albay Governor Noel Ebriega Rosal said the flooding highlights the need to enhance primary healthcare services in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas.

The original hospital is set to be relocated to a new site in Caratagan due to these flooding issues.

Governor Rosal emphasized that this development aims to improve healthcare quality and outcomes for underserved coastal communities.

He also reaffirmed his commitment to upgrading the healthcare system and workforce as a key priority of his administration.

BICOL EXPRESS, AARANGKADA NA! ๐ŸšŠ

3 oras na lang ang biyahe mula Laguna hanggang Bicol sa panahong matapos ang rehabilitasyon sa tinaguriang โ€œBicol Expressโ€ ng PNR.

Sinimulan na ng engineering team ng PNR ang pagsasaayos at paglalagay ng synthetic bridge ties sa Palicpic - Ayungin Bridge na nasa pagitan ng College flagstop at San Pablo Station.

Sa panahong matapos ito, hindi na mamomroblema sa malubak at mahabang biyahe ang mga pasahero, at literal na pwede nang bumiyahe nang balikan mula Laguna hanggang Bicol. ๐Ÿ˜

" Sa kasalukuyang ,hindi na po kaya ng mga rescuers na tugunan ang mga panawagan ng saklolo sa nangyayaring malawakang pagbaha sa Bicol region dulot ng bagyong lalo na sa mga lugar ng Camarines Sur, Albay at Naga City.

Pinapayuhan ang mga apektadong mamayan na humanap muna ng pwedeng ligtas na lugar at ipaprioritize ang recues. Sisikapin ng mga rescuers na matugunan ang inyong mga kahilingang saklolo. Three new stations were introduced along the train route, namely Travesia, Daraga, and Legazpi. The PNR also makes stops at existing PNR stations located in Naga, Pili, Iriga, Polangui, and Ligao, along with eight other flag stops at Baao, Lourdes, Bato, Matacon, Oas, Bagtang, Washington Drive, and Capantawan.
