𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬 | Due to the anticipated heavy rainfall of 50–100 mm brought by the Southwest Monsoon, the 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 (𝗤𝗖𝗗𝗥𝗥𝗠𝗖) recommends the suspension of face-to-face classes at all levels in both public and private schools in Quezon City tomorrow, September 5, 2026.

Alternative Delivery Modes (ADM) of learning shall be implemented to ensure the continuity of education.

Students are advised to coordinate with their instructors regarding class schedules and any adjustments to academic activities.

Everyone is encouraged to exercise caution and remain at home whenever necessary for their safety.

Please be guided accordingly.

As the PUPQC Supreme Student Council Elections 2026–2027 enter the campaign phase, candidates have been asked to state their positions on significant public issues affecting students, their communities, and society.

The following views and principles shared reveal not only what candidates believe, but how they understand the issues they may be called upon to address as student leaders. Campaign slogans and promises may capture attention, but leadership demands more than visibility. Leadership demands clarity, accountability, and a willingness to take a principled stand.

As an Iskolar ng Bayan, the responsibility does not end with knowing the candidates’ names. Ask what they stand for, examine the reasoning behind their positions, question their promises, and consider whether their platforms genuinely reflect the interests and welfare of the student body.

A vote is a decision that requires information. An informed student body looks beyond names and popularity, and critically assesses each candidate’s reasoning and leadership.

May we all exercise our collective voice and our opportunity to decide who will represent and serve us.

𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬 | Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 134, all public and private educational institutions at all levels in the National Capital Region (NCR) shall implement alternative learning modes and learning continuity measures today, September 4, 2026.

This directive is due to anticipated continued heavy rainfall associated with the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and poor air quality in the NCR caused by haze from severe forest and peatland fires in Kalimantan and Sumatra, Indonesia.

Students are advised to coordinate with their instructors regarding class schedules and other adjustments to academic activities.

Local Chief Executives (LCE) in other areas may order localized suspension or cancellation of classes.

Please be guided accordingly.

𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬 | Based on the latest Air Quality Index, the public is advised to take precautions as “𝗨𝗻𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝘆” to “𝗩𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗨𝗻𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝘆” air quality levels have been recorded in several areas of Metro Manila, including Quezon City.

The air quality may have been affected by the smoke and haze from ongoing fires in Kalimantan, Indonesia.

Everyone is encouraged to 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝗸𝘀, especially those belonging to vulnerable groups, and to limit outdoor activities or unnecessary exposure until air quality conditions improve.

The public is also advised to stay updated through official announcements and continue to prioritize their health and safety.
