PNP SEIZES OVER ₱43-M SUSPECTED SMUGGLED CI******ES IN NEGROS ORIENTAL AND PAGADIAN

The Philippine National Police (PNP) intensified its campaign against smuggling following two successful operations in Negros Oriental and Pagadian City that resulted in the confiscation of more than ₱43 million worth of suspected smuggled ci******es and the arrest of 11 suspects on May 16 and 17, 2026.

In Basay, Negros Oriental, a joint operation conducted by local police units, maritime personnel, and partner law enforcement agencies resulted in the interception of around 700 master cases of suspected smuggled ci******es valued at approximately ₱40.1 million. Authorities also recovered a motorized boat believed to have been used for transport. Ten individuals were taken into custody for proper legal proceedings.

In a separate operation in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur, police operatives arrested one suspect and confiscated 57 master cases of suspected smuggled ci******es with an estimated value of more than ₱3.2 million.

PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. commended the operating units for the coordinated efforts that led to the successful operations.

“Bahagi ito ng mas malawak nating tungkulin na protektahan ang ekonomiya at tiyakin na umiiral ang batas sa maayos na paraan. Patuloy nating paiigtingin ang ating kampanya laban sa mga iligal na aktibidad habang iginagalang ang karapatan ng bawat isa,” PGen Nartatez said.

He added that the PNP remains committed to intelligence-driven and coordinated law enforcement efforts across the country.

“Ang mahalaga ay tuloy-tuloy ang ating pagbabantay at mabilis ang pag-aksyon ng ating mga yunit sa mga ulat at impormasyon mula sa komunidad at partner agencies. We will continue working closely with concerned agencies to prevent illegal trade activities from thriving,” he added.

The suspects are currently under police custody while proper documentation and legal procedures are being undertaken for the filing of appropriate charges.

The PNP assured the public that operations against smuggling and other illegal activities will continue nationwide in support of safer communities and stronger public trust, in line with the Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.

PRO-CAR SUSTAINS ANTI-ILLEGAL DRUG OPERATIONS; ₱6.1M WORTH OF MA*****NA DESTROYED

The Philippine National Police (PNP), through the Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO-CAR), sustained its intensified campaign against illegal drugs following the destruction of ma*****na plants valued at more than ₱6.1 million during a series of operations conducted from May 10 to 16, 2026.

According to reports from the Regional Operations Division of PRO-CAR, anti-illegal drug operatives from the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) and Kalinga PPO conducted a total of 14 ma*****na eradication operations during the weeklong campaign.

In Benguet, 12 separate ma*****na eradication operations resulted in the destruction of 16,790 fully grown ma*****na plants and the seizure of 14,000 grams of dried ma*****na stalks, leaves, and fruiting tops with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) amounting to ₱3,358,000.00.

Meanwhile, two separate ma*****na eradication operations in Kalinga led to the destruction of 14,000 fully grown ma*****na plants with an SDP of ₱2,800,000.00.

PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez, Jr., commended the operating units for their sustained anti-illegal drug efforts and emphasized the importance of continuous operations targeting ma*****na cultivation sites.

“These operations reflect our continuing commitment to eliminate illegal drug sources and protect communities from the harmful effects of prohibited substances. We will sustain intelligence-driven operations and strengthen coordination with local communities to prevent the resurgence of illegal cultivation activities,” PGen Nartatez said.

PNP-HPG ARRESTS 3 WANTED PERSONS IN SEPARATE OPERATIONS

The Philippine National Police–Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) arrested three wanted persons in separate coordinated operations conducted on May 15, 2026 in Batangas, North Cotabato, and Davao del Norte.

The operations resulted in the arrest of individuals facing cases involving carnapping, estafa, and falsification of public documents through sustained intelligence monitoring and joint police efforts.

In North Cotabato, authorities served a warrant of arrest against a 35-year-old female for alleged falsification of public documents. She was properly informed of the warrant and peacefully taken into custody. She will be turned over to the issuing court for proper legal proceedings.

In Davao del Norte, a 44-year-old male was apprehended during a checkpoint operation after being flagged for traffic violations. Verification later showed that the motorcycle he was driving had been reported missing and was allegedly involved in a carnapping case, which prompted authorities to place him under custody for further investigation.

Meanwhile, in Batangas, a 32-year-old female was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest for estafa following a coordinated police operation supported by intelligence information.

PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., said the operations reflect the organization’s sustained campaign against wanted persons.

“Hindi po tayo tumitigil sa paghahanap at pag-aresto sa mga may kaso. Tuloy-tuloy ang ating operasyon para masigurong mapapanagot sila sa batas at maramdaman ng publiko ang maayos na pagpapatupad ng hustisya,” PGen Nartatez said.

All suspects are now under the custody of the operating units for documentation and proper disposition prior to turnover to the issuing courts.

The PNP reiterated its commitment to strengthening law enforcement operations against wanted persons and other criminal activities in line with the organization’s intensified public safety and security efforts.

PNP ARRESTS REGION 5 MOST WANTED PERSON IN R**E, SEXUAL ASSAULT CASES

The Philippine National Police (PNP), under the leadership of Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez, Jr., sustained its intensified manhunt operations following the arrest of the No. 3 Most Wanted Person at the provincial level in Police Regional Office 5 during an operation conducted on May 16, 2026, in Brgy. Talolong, Lopez, Quezon.

The operation was carried out by personnel of the Paracale Municipal Police Station, Intelligence Unit, and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company of the Camarines Norte Police Provincial Office, in coordination with the 503rd Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 5.

The accused was arrested by virtue of warrants of arrests for three counts of Qualified R**e involving a minor, with no bail recommended, and four counts of sexual assault with recommended bail amounting to ₱800,000.00.

The accused is now under the custody of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Cavite Provincial Field Unit for proper legal procedures.

PGen Nartatez stressed that fugitives facing serious criminal charges will continue to face sustained police operations until they are brought before the courts.

“Walang puwang sa lipunan ang mga taong nananamantala at sumisira sa kinabukasan ng kabataan. Hahabulin namin kayo, aarestuhin, at pananagutin sa ilalim ng batas,” PGen Nartatez said.

He further emphasized that the arrest demonstrates the firm resolve of the PNP to ensure that wanted persons can no longer evade justice.

“No fugitive is beyond the reach of the law. The PNP will continue to intensify manhunt operations against individuals accused of grave offenses and ensure that communities remain protected from criminal elements,” he added.

The PNP reiterated its commitment to intensifying operations against wanted persons and strengthening public safety efforts nationwide in line with the organization’s continuing transformation initiatives.

Pinuri ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang ipinakitang malasakit at pagtulong ng isang pulis sa isang matandang babae na hirap tumawid sa Quezon City, matapos itong makuha sa CCTV at kumalat online.

Kinilala ang pulis na si PSSg Ramil Gonzales na agad lumapit upang tulungan ang isang lola na nahihirapang tumawid sa kahabaan ng A. Bonifacio corner Mauban Street, Quezon City noong Mayo 15, 2026.

Batay sa ulat, habang nagpapatrulya si PSSg Gonzales ay napansin niya ang matandang babae na tila nag-aalinlangan at hirap makatawid sa kalsada. Bagamat una siyang tinanggihan ng tulong, hindi siya agad umalis at naghintay ng tamang pagkakataon upang masiguro ang kaligtasan ng matanda hanggang sa matagumpay niya itong naalalayan sa pagtawid.

Ayon sa PNP, ang simpleng kabutihang loob na ito ay patunay na ang serbisyo ng kapulisan ay hindi lamang umiikot sa pagpapatupad ng batas kundi maging sa pagpapakita ng malasakit sa mamamayan.

Pinuri naman ni Chief PNP Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. ang naging kilos ng pulis at sinabing mahalagang maipadama sa publiko ang tunay na diwa ng paglilingkod.

“Ang mga ganitong simpleng pagtulong ay malaking bagay para sa ating mga kababayan. Ipinapakita nito na ang isang pulis ay hindi lamang tagapagpatupad ng batas kundi katuwang din ng komunidad sa oras ng pangangailangan. Dapat nating ipagpatuloy ang ganitong uri ng malasakit at pagrespeto sa bawat mamamayan,” ani PGen Nartatez.

Dagdag pa niya, ang pagiging maagap at makatao ng mga pulis sa maliliit man o malalaking pagkakataon ay mahalaga upang lalong mapalakas ang tiwala ng publiko sa hanay ng kapulisan.

PNP STATEMENT

Kinikilala ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang mga pangamba ng publiko kasunod ng pagkalat sa social media ng isang video na kinasasangkutan ng mga menor de edad sa kahabaan ng Alabang–Zapote Road, Brgy. Almanza Uno, Lungsod ng Las Piñas.

Batay sa paunang ulat, rumesponde ang pulisya noong Mayo 2, 2026 sa isang insidente kung saan may mga menor de edad na umano’y nagtangkang sumakay sa pampasaherong jeepney. Sa follow-up operation, natunton ang pitong (7) menor de edad sa parehong lugar kinabukasan.

Ang mga menor de edad ay inilagay sa pangangalaga ng pulisya at barangay para sa tamang pag-aksyon, at kalaunan ay itinurn-over sa Barangay Council for the Protection of Children at dinala sa Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) – Las Piñas City, alinsunod sa child protection procedures.

Ayon sa paunang imbestigasyon, nag-ugat ang insidente sa hindi pagkakaintindihan matapos tumanggi ang isang jeepney driver na magsakay ng pasahero. Wala namang naiulat na nasaktan o nawawalang gamit.

Patuloy ang beripikasyon ng mga detalye at angkop na aksyon alinsunod sa umiiral na mga alituntunin.

Kasabay nito, mas pinaiigting ng PNP ang presensya ng pulisya sa mga komunidad, mabilis na pagtugon sa mga insidente, at pakikipag-ugnayan sa mga lokal na pamahalaan upang matiyak ang kapayapaan at kaayusan.
