DJ Ron, also known as Ronny B, started his radio career in 2001 with Campus Radio Legazpi under RGMA Network Inc. He shared music and stories with listeners until 2005. After that, he took a break from radio and worked in a call center until 2011, where he improved his communication and tech skills. In 2011, he was offered to voice McDonald
's "Mahirap Kumita Ng Pera" TV ad, marking his first step into voiceover work. That same year, he also began learning audio engineering—a turning point that helped him grow in sound recording and editing. In 2015, Ron returned to radio by creating Hugot Radio—a platform where people could find comfort and connection, especially during heartbreak. In 2021, he became a Certified Audio Professional through Music Radio Creative in the UK. Earlier, in 2019, he received the People’s Choice Award from Rode Microphones for his work in the audio industry. Today, DJ Ron Banzagales is known as a kind and hardworking voice in Philippine radio.
