Polangui Community College (PCC) proudly recognized the outstanding achievements of its students at the Medallion Day 2025 ceremony, today, June 17 at the PCC covered court.
Themed "Rising with Integrity, Leading with Purpose: Honoring the Achievers of the Class of 2025," the event was attended by awardees and their parents; faculty members; and guests.
Dr. Manuel C. Mendoza, Dean of Business and Management Department, delivered welcome remarks, highlighting the significance of celebrating the awardees' hard work and dedication.
Hon. Vice Mayor Cherilie Mella-Sampal, in her message, urged students to seize every opportunity, noting that opportunities are not equally given to all.
Afterward, Guest Speaker and Municipal Councilor Atty. Kristel Louise S. Pasia inspired the awardees with her powerful message: "Freedom comes with responsibility, [and] knowledge comes with accountability. Walk in this world with integrity, lead with purpose, compassion, and courage."
"[Let this be a reminder to you] that you are capable of greatness, and more importantly, the world needs your greatness," she added.
Following her inspiring speech, Atty. Pasia was awarded a plaque of appreciation by Dr. Clyde Alexander A. Antioquia, Dr. Rosalinda B. Barquez, Dr. Ma. Joy S. Cruz, and Dr. Manuel C. Mendoza.
The ceremony featured intermission numbers by students from both department
Dean's listers from Teacher Education Department received medals and certificates, with Atty. Pasia, Dr. Antioquia, Dr. Cruz, Mrs. Annecelle Joy S. Oribiana, and Mrs. Joan L. Saminiano assisting the recognition.
Medals and certificates were also awarded to Business and Management Department dean's listers, assisted by Atty. Pasia, Dr. Antioquia, Dr. Mendoza, Mr. Richard S. Resoco, Mr. Butch S. Ros, and Ma'am Mei R. Sasuca.
Also, service awardees received medals and certificates in recognition of their invaluable service.
In her closing remarks, Dr. Cruz, Dean of Teacher Education Department, emphasized that the medallion day symbolizes hard work, resilience, and the pursuit of greater goals.
She also extended her gratitude to the event's overall chairperson Ma'am Sasuca, co-chairperson Mrs. Oribiana, working committees, faculty members, dean's listers, and parents.
