The moment we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived.

Candidate No.9, Ms. Maria Marlyn Rose Mecija from BEED 3A, is crowned as Ms. SLSU Polillo 2026, while Candidate No. 6, Mr. Nick Lawrence Soltura from BEED 3C, rises as Mr. SLSU Polillo 2026.

They truly stood out among all the candidates, shining with confidence, grace, intelligence, and charisma. Their performance on stage reflected not only beauty, but also wisdom and strength of character.

𝐄𝐃𝐒𝐀 𝐏𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲

Today, February 25, 2026, marks the 40th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution, a powerful reminder of the bravery and determination of Filipinos. Four decades ago, in 1986, millions of Filipinos stood along Epifanio de los Santos Avenue in Metro Manila from February 22 to 25. This revolution aimed to depose President Ferdinand Marcos, restore democracy, and put an end to his rule.
As the country commemorates EDSA, its spirit continues to inspire a new generation of Filipinos to defend truth, freedom, and the power of the people. The spirit of the 1986 People Power Revolution will live on, not only in the pages of history books, but in every Filipino who chooses to stand up and fight for what is right.

𝐒𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐫. & 𝐌𝐬. 𝐒𝐋𝐒𝐔-𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐨 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬

The Sashing Ceremony for Mr. & Ms. SLSU–Polillo Campus took place on February 1, 2026, at the SLSU Annex, 2nd Floor, where candidates from different year levels officially received their sashes and began their journey as representatives of their respective sections. The ceremony marked their first step in the competition, leading to the Mr. and Ms. SLSU pageant on February 26, 2026, where they will uphold the pride and excellence of SLSU–Polillo Campus.

The ceremony serves as their guide throughout their whole preparation and their chance to clarify their concerns about the said event. This event gained the candidates a deeper understanding of the expectations and values they have to hold as a representatives of the university.

More than a simple presentation of sashes, the ceremony symbolizes not only their recognition but also responsibility. As they move forward in the competition, they carry not only their individual aspirations but also the honor and pride of SLSU–Polillo Campus.

𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒|SLSU-Polillo holds screening for Mr. and Ms. SLSU-Polillo

Southern Luzon State University - Polillo hosted the official screening for the 2026 Mr. and Ms. SLSU- Polillo pageant on January 26, bringing together aspiring candidates from SLSU Polillo students to compete for the prestigious titles.

Remarkable candidates wowed the audience as they showcased stunning beauty, captivating charm, graceful poise, and inspiring advocacy, leaving no doubt that they have what it takes to represent their section. They impressed a distinguished panel of judges, including Instructor Jerico Marasigan, Instructor Denise Kristen Ong, and the former Mr. SLSU- Polillo Christian Dave Amar.

The SLSU Polillo has set a full schedule of activities leading up to the much-anticipated coronation night, which will take place on February 26, 2026, at Polillo Sports Complex.

2025 was an unexpected journey, full of twists, challenges, and lessons. There were bumps along the road, yet here you are. You survived. As we step into this new year, let us leave behind the pain and struggles of the past and carry forward the lessons that shaped us for the journey ahead.

As the holiday season comes to an end, we return to work, to school, and to our daily routines. May we see this moment as an opportunity to begin again,to start fresh with hearts and minds ready to face new challenges, embrace growth, and move forward with hope.
