NEWS | LEADERS FOR THE YEAR AHEAD

The General Santos Academy, Inc. School Student Council (SSC) successfully conducted a leadership training last August 1, 2025 held at Hopping Pines, Crossing Palkan, Polomolok, South Cotabato.

This immersive event was attended by major club leaders and club advisers.

NEWS | New Legacy, New Era: Induction of Officers ‘25

‎POLOMOLOK — July 25, 2025 —Preparations are being set for the much awaited induction ceremony of the new student officers to be held at General Santos Academy Inc. covered court. This event will be the witness of a new legacy being unfold as a new leadership chapter begins.
‎
‎Newly elected officers from different departments, clubs, and the supreme student council ( SSC ) will be introduced as they pledge their oath. Organized by SAMAKO Club the upcoming event is promised to be fun and eye opening at the same time as we get to know the new leaders of our school.
‎
‎Students are encouraged to join and show their support to their fellow students during the induction ceremony. As your presence and support makes the event more enjoyable so don't miss it.

NEWS | Break the Silence: Empowering Minds, Saving Lives

As part of our Break the Silence: Empowering Minds, Saving Lives HIV/AIDS Awareness Seminar and Testing, many students, including Arkie Mark Jumalon, shared their insights on HIV/AIDS.

One student qouted that hearing “HIV” often brings associations with s*x, especially same-s*x relationships, and expressed the importance of learning through the seminar. They appreciated the inclusion of testing, especially for first-year students, urging peers to listen and participate actively.

On an interview, Arkie stressed that — “It’s crucial to know your status—whether positive or negative. Knowing gives you peace of mind. If you’re positive, you can start treatment and manage your health. If you’re negative, that’s a relief too.”
