After a battery of travels, I finally arrived in Puerto Princesa City, the familiar gateway to Palawan’s wonders. Instead of heading straight to rest, my first stop was at one of Phoenix Palawan's gas station to fill up the tank.

With a full tank and the city’s energy buzzing around me, I found myself pausing for a moment, just thinking: where to go next? The adventure doesn’t end with the arrival, it only opens up more roads to take.

After a smooth trip from Cebu, I finally made it to Amorita Resort here in Panglao, Bohol. Nestled on a cliffside overlooking Alona Beach, the resort instantly sets the tone for a relaxing yet adventure-filled getaway.

The room is just wonderful. Spacious, tastefully designed, and with that touch of comfort that makes you want to settle in right away. It’s the kind of space that invites you to slow down, enjoy the view, and savor every moment before heading out to explore.

From here, I’m all set to begin my Bohol adventure. Between its stunning beaches, lush landscapes, and rich cultural heritage, there’s so much waiting to be discovered. For now, I’ll enjoy this little sanctuary at Amorita before the adventures officially begin.

They say videographers never die, we just keep telling stories. That’s why whenever opportunity knocks, I pack my bags and travel.

A nice dinner before bedtime to gear up for an epic island-hopping adventure tomorrow. Cebu isn’t new to me, I even lived here for a month back in 2011 and have explored many of its destinations multiple times. But tomorrow will be a first: island hopping in Cebu.

Standing before one of the Magellan–Elcano Expedition historical markers on Gibusong Island, I’m reminded that this simple plaque represents far more than words etched in stone. It is part of a network of 34 markers across the Philippines, installed by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines during the 2021 Quincentennial Commemorations of the First Circumnavigation of the Earth.

These markers are found in significant sites tied to the expedition’s passage; places such as Samar, Suluan, Homonhon, Limasawa, Palawan, Zamboanga, and Sarangani. Some stand in very specific locations like Calicoan Island, Suluan Island, Homonhon Island, Limasawa Island, and Aborlan, each one telling the story of encounters and events that unfolded more than five centuries ago.

Together, they form a historical trail across the archipelago, tangible reminders of the Philippines’ place in a global voyage that forever reshaped world history.

For travelers, these markers can even be your first collection of places to visit, each stop offering not just a view of the present landscape but also a window into the country’s past.

The Blue Lagoon in Dinagat Islands is one of those places that feels almost untouched, where nature has been left to keep its raw, enchanting beauty. Tucked within this island province in Caraga, Mindanao, the lagoon is known for its mesmerizing shades of turquoise and deep blue waters that change with the sunlight. Surrounded by towering limestone cliffs and lush greenery, the Blue Lagoon offers both mystery and serenity, an escape into a quiet world that feels far removed from the rush of everyday life.

To reach the lagoon, visitors usually take a boat ride across Dinagat’s scattered islets, passing by white-sand beaches and rocky formations along the way. Once inside, the lagoon reveals itself as a hidden sanctuary, with calm waters perfect for swimming, kayaking, or simply floating while taking in the towering rock walls that embrace it. Some areas are deep enough for cliff jumping, adding a dose of adventure to the stillness of the place.
