PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, Palawan (October 14, 2025) — The Western Naval Command (WNC), through BRP IWAK LC289, delivered 600 sacks of rice and other essential supplies to the northern municipalities of Linapacan, Culion, and Coron from October 9–13, 2025, in support of the Palawan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO).

The mission ensured that vital relief assistance reached even the most remote communities, with the ship’s crew assisting in the unloading and distribution of goods across the three municipalities. In Coron, the Municipal Mayor personally thanked the Navy for its continued partnership in humanitarian logistics operations.

This successful operation highlights the Philippine Navy’s unwavering commitment to inter-agency efforts that bring hope and relief to communities in need.

The National Task Force West Philippine Sea (NTF-WPS) welcomes the results of the latest Pulse Asia survey, which reaffirm the Filipino people’s strong confidence in our government’s policy of transparency and resolute defense of our sovereignty, sovereign rights, and jurisdiction in the West Philippine Sea.

We thank the Filipino people for their trust in the NTF-WPS and its member agencies, particularly the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), the Philippine Navy, and the Armed Forces of the Philippines, all whom gained high trust ratings from the public. Notably, 41% of respondents identified the Philippine Coast Guard as the most trustworthy government agency for updates and reports concerning the West Philippine Sea.

This strong vote of confidence is not just a reflection of institutional performance; it is a reflection of national unity in the face of continuing challenges to our sovereignty. The survey results send a clear and powerful message: the Filipino people stand for truth, transparency, and the defense of what is rightfully ours.

We also draw our strength from the fact that 94% of respondents believe that the Philippines should continue its transparency policy and persist in publicly exposing China’s coercive and aggressive behavior. Therefore, the NTF-WPS will sustain and strengthen our transparency policy. We will continue to shine light on every illegal, coercive, aggressive, and deceptive (ICAD) activity in our waters. We will not be silenced, we will not be intimidated, and we will never turn away from our duty to defend the Filipino people’s rights and the nation’s dignity.

The survey’s findings that 77% of respondents identified the United States as the top country the Philippines can rely on reflects the enduring strength of the Philippine–U.S. alliance, a partnership rooted in shared values, mutual respect, and a common commitment to peace, stability, and the rule of law. This reinforces the need for the Philippines to strengthen its partnerships with like-minded nations who believe in a rules-based international order and a free and open Indo-Pacific.

The NTF-WPS -- under the leadership of the National Security Council -- will remain steadfast and transparent. We will remain true to our mandate - to protect our national sovereignty, uphold international law, and ensure that the truth about the West Philippine Sea is never hidden, distorted, or forgotten.

Muling napatunayan ang malinaw na panghihimasok ng China matapos madiskubre ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) ang ikalawang dilaw na buoy sa hilagang bahagi ng Bajo de Masinloc (Panatag Shoal) noong Oktubre 15.

Habang isinasagawa ng PCG ang kanilang regular na inspeksyon, hinarang at tinakot ng Chinese Coast Guard at mga eroplanong pandigma ng China ang ating mga tauhan — isang lantad na panggigipit sa sariling karagatan ng Pilipinas!

Ang Bajo de Masinloc ay malinaw na bahagi ng ating Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), alinsunod sa 2016 Hague Ruling ng Permanent Court of Arbitration na nagsasabing walang legal na batayan ang “nine-dash line” ng China.

For the longest time, the Communist Party of the Philippines–New People’s Army–National Democratic Front of the Philippines has robbed the Filipino indigenous people of their narrative of resistance and materially benefited from it. And even after their defeat and retreat from many ancestral domains, the CPP-NPA continues to exploit the narrative of the IP for its political and economic survival.

The CPP and its legal national democratic organizations remain convinced that they alone hold the narrative to IP resistance. They frame campaigns to demand the reopening of Lumad schools or the exoneration from criminal liability of their CPP cadres who subjected children to unconscionable harm as their own struggle in disguise. But IP communities know that their histories are older than the Party, and that their futures need not be dictated by it.
