Hindi naisalba ang buhay ng isang 41-anyos na lalaki matapos malunod kahapon sa karagatan ng Quezon, Palawan.

Ang biktima na si Alias Abel, may-asawa, driver at residente ng Bgy Sowangan, Quezon ay nangisda sa karagatan ng Sitio Katipunan, Bgy Sowangan mga alas-10 ng umaga kahapon, July 25, 2025.

Dahil sa hindi magandang ay napadpad ang biktima sa sea canal na may malakas na current.

Nagtulong tulong ang mga mangingisda sa lugar at mga tauhan ng Philippine Coast Guard ngunit dahil sa malakas na hangin at ulan ay nabigo silang marating ang lokasyon ni Alias Abel.

Noong mag low tide mga alas-3 ng hapon ay doon nakita ang wala ng buhay na katawan ng biktima.

2 PATAY SA MOTORCYCLE RACING SA EL NIDO, PALAWAN

Binawian ng buhay ang driver ng dalawa sa tatlong motorsiklo na sangkot sa motorcycle racing kagabi sa National Highway ng Sitio Nasigdan, Barangay Villa Libertad, El Nido.

Sa report na ini release ng Palawan PPO base sa Spot Report ng El Nido MPS, habang mabilis ang pagpapatakbo ng kani-kanilang motorsiklo mula town proper patungo ng Villa Libertad, sa kurbadang bahagi ng kalsada ay nasagi ng Honda Click 125 ang isang Honda ADV 160 at naaksidente. Ang ikatlong motorsiklo ay isang Raider Suzuki 150.

Ang Honda ADV 160 ay minamaneho ni Alias Jack, 27-anyos, may live-in partner, isang vendor at residente ng Bgy Maligaya, El Nido.

Ang Honda Click 125 ay minamaneho ni Alias Milo, 26-anyos, binata residente ng Villa Libertad, El Nido at mayroon itong isang angkas.

Bunsod ng kanilang tinamong serious injuries sa katawan, idineklarang Dead On Arrival si Alias Milo ng 12:09 ng madaling araw at idineklara namang binawian ng buhay ng 1:28 ng madaling araw kanina si Alias Jack sa El Nido Community Hospital. Ang angkas ni Alias Milo ayon sa police report ay safe at stable.

El Nido Rehabilitation Task Force (ENRTF) Meets with Senator Erwin Tulfo to Address Environmental and Rehabilitation Issues

Municipal Mayor Edna G Lim together with SB Dang Trinidad, DILG MLGOO Melissa Magbanua, OIC Municipal Administrator Raul Maximo, Acting Municipal Tourism Officer Shirlette Somayo, MEEDO Rene U Acosta, Engr. Ronnie Alcantara, Engr Junie Bacolot, Engr. Eduardo Orquista and Justine Caroline Guzman attended a strategic meeting with Senator Erwin Tulfo to tackle urgent environmental challenges and discuss sustainable rehabilitation efforts for our Municipality.

Also in attendance were representatives from various agencies such as PCSD, DENR, DOH, DOT and DILG represented by DILG Provincial Director Virgilio Tagle.

During the meeting, local officials presented pressing concerns, including:
✅ Water pollution and sewerage issues
✅ Solid waste management
✅ Potable Water System
✅ Health and Sanitation issues

Senator Tulfo expressed strong support for the protection and rehabilitation of El Nido and assured the LGU of his commitment to help address these concerns through national government assistance and legislative action.

📝 As a concrete next step, Senator Tulfo directed the Municipality of El Nido to submit project proposals focused on environmental protection, infrastructure improvement, and sustainable development. These proposals will be used to identify areas where his office can provide funding support or endorse to relevant national agencies.

Mayor Lim welcomed this opportunity and committed to submitting project proposals aligned with the LGU’s rehabilitation goals.
