FRIENDSHIP PARK, HINDI TAPUNAN NANG BASURAโผ๏ธ
It was happened kanina around 7pm while I'm at FRIENDSHIP PARK, in front of City hall. Napag isipan kong tumambay muna dito since katatapos lang ng practice namin, while sitting and talking to my parents on the phone, two people (a boy and a girl) walked in front of me. Since they passed by, I followed them with my eyes and noticed that the boy had "FACULTY" written on the back of his shirt. After that, about 3 meters away from me, nilapag ng kasama nyaโate Girl ang dala-dala nyang basuraโit was a lalagyan ng siomai rice, sabay diretso sa unahan na parang walang nangyare, then they started talking to their friends, whom I think had been waiting for them for a while since they were already seated when I arrived.
It's disheartening to think that even now, people continue to litter indiscriminately, whether they are young or old, professionals or not. We should cultivate awareness or at least use our common sense, as this park was not created just to be a dumping ground. We should strive to be responsible citizens in every action we take. We need to understand that there are laws in place regarding improper waste disposal, such as Republic Act No. 9003 (Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000).
I hope this post will serve as reminder sa'ten, na kahit kailan mali ang pagtapon ng ating mga basura sa kung saan-saan. LET'S PRESERVE, AND PROTECT OUR ENVIRONMENT!!
