Arestado ang isang 50-anyos na tricycle driver ang nahuli sa isang buy-bust operation na isinagawa ng mga awtoridad sa Barangay Corong-Corong, El Nido, Palawan, pasado ala-una ng madaling araw noong Pebrero 12, 2025. Ang kasabwat niya, na kilala sa alyas na β€œBunso,” ay nakatakas.

Sa isang pinagsamang operasyon ng El Nido Municipal Police Station (MPS), Provincial Drugs Enforcement Unit (PDEU), at Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), sa koordinasyon ng PDEA-MIMAROPA, nahuli si alyas "Jerald", residente ng Brgy. Masagana, El Nido, Palawan.

Bukod sa mga ebidensyang nakuha kay Jerald, isang sachet ng shabu ang binili mula sa tumakas na suspek na si alyas "Bunso".

Tinatayang nasa 13.51 gramo ang kabuuang bigat ng nakumpiskang droga na may halagang β‚±94,570. Kasalukuyang nasa kustodiya ng El Nido MPS si Jerald habang inihahanda ang kasong Paglabag sa Sections 5 at 11 ng RA 9165 laban sa kanya, at kasong Paglabag sa Section 5 ng RA 9165 laban kay Juven Heredero alyas "Bunso", na patuloy pang tinutugis ng mga awtoridad.

Gokongwei-led budget carrier Cebu Pacific on Monday said it has inked a P1.75-billion share purchase agreement with ALI Capital Corp. to acquire 100% of the shares of boutique airline operator AirSWIFT Transport Inc.

Once integrated, Cebu Pacific said it will add El Nido to its routes, with the carrier currently operating flights to 35 domestic and 26 international destinations.
