PUP- PULILAN CAMPUSโ€” In commemorating the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) Awareness Month of December, Polytechnic University of the Philippines- Pulilan Campus conducted the ๐˜ˆ ๐˜š๐˜ข๐˜ง๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ ๐˜š๐˜ฑ๐˜ข๐˜ค๐˜ฆ: ๐˜“๐˜ฆ๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ฏ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ ๐˜ˆ๐˜ฃ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ต ๐˜๐˜๐˜ ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ ๐˜ˆ๐˜๐˜‹๐˜š ๐˜ต๐˜ฐ ๐˜—๐˜ณ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฐ๐˜ต๐˜ฆ ๐˜‹๐˜ฆ๐˜ด๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜จ๐˜ฎ๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ป๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ, a seminar tackling the facts and myths about the condition explained by personnels from the Municipal Health Office Pulilan this afternoon, December 16, 2024.

Ms. April Sierra-Rosadio, RMT, Medical Technologist from the MHO Pulilan discussed the difference and connection of HIV and AIDS as well as the causes and treatments of the conditions. Students from the audience also participated in the open forum segment of the program. They were asked whether certain factors can actually cause the transfer of the virus.

Statistics on current cases of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) in which the province of Bulacan garnered a significantly high number. Ms. Sierra-Rosadio also explained the correlation of the amount of STI cases with an areaโ€™s demographic characteristics. Several available treatment facilities within the area of Bulacan wherein people can get tested and treated for such infections.

A free HIV screening booth was also provided to the attendees. The event organizers also handed out contraceptives like condoms to promote safe s*x and prevent the rise of STI cases as well as teenage pregnancy.

๐‡๐€๐๐๐„๐๐ˆ๐๐† ๐๐Ž๐– || Various sectors of the local community gathered for the inauguration of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines- Pulilan Campusโ€™ two new buildings this morning, December 16, 2024.

Administration and student organization representatives were present in the ceremony along with the members of the Sangguniang Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Balatong B, in which the campus presides as well as delegates from the Citizensโ€™ Battle Against Corruption (CIBAC) Paty-List.

The inauguration marks another milestone to the unceasing growth of PUP-Pulilan Campus since its transition from its old campus to the new one two academic years ago.

Cong. Raoul Danniel A. Manuel mula sa Kabataan Partylist ng House of Representatives.

Nagsaad ng kani-kanilang mga karanasan mula sa kanilang lokalidad ang mga Student Council President mula sa iba't ibang colleges at campuses ng PUP 'tulad ng mga suliranin sa kakulangan sa pasilidad, mainit na silid-aralan pati na rin ang red-tagging at pangigipit at pananakot sa mga istudent-lider na araw-araw ay kinahaharap ng mga Iskolar ng Bayan.

Matatandaang umingay ang usapin tungkol sa student repression na nararanasan sa loob mismo ng pamantasan. Nito lamang nakaraang Linggo ay ilang panawagan ang naganap dahil sa usapin ng pagtanggal sa karapatan ng mga magaaral.

"Ang edukasyon, isa siyang karapatan [...] Kasi 'pag sinabi nating karapatan, tinatanggal natin ang existing barriers," ani Manuel.

"Sa isang lipunan na laganap pa rin ang hindi pagkakapantay-pantay, itulak natin siya para makamit natin. Hindi natin basta-basta dapat isuko ang ating karapatan," dagdag pa nito.

Binigyang diin din sa nasabing diskurso ang karapatan ng mamamayang Filipino sa edukasyon, karapatan sa pamamahayag, at karapatan ng masa na makibahagi sa nangyayari sa ating bansa.

The 24th Alyansa ng Nagkakaisang Konseho ng Politeknikong Unibersidad ng Pilipinas (ANAK PUP) Congress elected its new heads and deputy heads of six committees during the fourth day of their second annual convention today, July 21, Sunday held at the Bulwagang Balagtas.

PUP Open University System (OUS) Student Council President President Christopher Mendoza, nominated and later elected as the head of the Committee on Public Information and Mass Media, mentioned his will to establish the first ever publication of PUP OUS and the defense for press freedom in the entire university during his one-minute speech which is also given to all the nominees for each position.

The 24th Alyansa ng Nagkakaisang Konseho ng Politeknikong Unibersidad ng Pilipinas (ANAK PUP) Congress decides to strike the presentation of the Status Reports of all Local Student Council presidents across the PUP system as an agenda of the five-day convention yesterday, July 19, Friday.

This will allow the Congress to focus on more laborious agendas such as the establishment of the Internal Rules and Regulations of the federation which was cut short today due to conflict with the venue on the PUP Theatre and was later resumed at the Cebu Hall in Hasmin Hotel later that day after the State of the PUPian Address ( SOPA): A Multi-sectoral Analysis of Marcos II.

Addressing the significance of Marcos Jr.'s two years in office to the complication in the learning conditions of Iskolars ng Bayan, SOPA encouraged being a critical audience of the president's coming State of the Nation Address (SONA) on July 22.

"'Yong danas trend, ginawa siyang avenue para mapakita kung ano ba talagang nangyayari sa PUP, sobrang init, kakulangan sa pasilidad, at 'yon mismong mabibigat na workload nagse-serve ng organic na nararanasan dito sa PUP," Defend PUP's Tiffany Brillante stated referring to the "Danas" trend among PUPians online showing their day-to-day problems inside and outside the university.

"Kung maipapaliwanag natin nang mahusay sa kanila
doon natin maipapatimo na lahat ng karanasan ay hindi nandito para takutin tayo kundi
para imulat tayo [...] Para ipaglaban ang karapatan natin sa edukasyon," Brillante added.

ikalawang Annual Convention ng Alyansa ng Nagkakaisang Konseho ng Politeknikong Unibersidad ng Pilipinas (ANAK PUP) ngayong araw, July 18, Huwebes.

Dumalo sa pagpupulong ang mga presidente ng mga konseho ng mag-aaral at mga student publications mula sa iba't ibang sangay ng unibersidad. Tinalakay rito ang pagbuo ng "Rules of the Alyansa ng Nagkakaisang Konseho ng Politeknikong Unibersidad ng Pilipinas."

Kabilang din sa pagpupulong ang paghahalal kay PUP-Lopez Campus Central Student Council President Rizzalyn De Torres sa Quezon-Ragay Representative na posisyon na naiwang bakante sa naganap na halalan noong Disyembre noong nakaraang taon.
