‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭12‬:‭1‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬
“Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, But he who hates reproof is stupid.”

Reflection
I believe no one wants to be called stupid and all of us want to be counted and called wise. But being wise requires a humble heart that is ready for correction.
“Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge” refers to instruction, correction, and training that comes from God, parents, mentors, or simply our experiences in life. Not everyone loves discipline, it can be tough at times but with the right attitude, heart, and perspective we can learn and improve so much. Remember that Wisdom isn’t about knowing everything, it’s about the heart that is willing to learn and accept truth, even when it hurts. So in reflection how do you respond when corrected by someone? Are you defensive or teachable? To be counted among the wise we are to be open and ready to accept rebuke it's for your own goodtake it as love from that person and you will thank him later in life.

Dear Lord, give us a humble and teachable heart. Help us to welcome correction and the lessons You are giving us through Life's experiences and we trust that this process will draw us closer to You and gain wisdom in Jesus' name we pray Amen.

“The mouth of the righteous flows with wisdom, But the perverted tongue will be cut out.”

Reflection
I am amazed by the wisdom of God and it explains it so clearly by giving two kinds of people in comparison and the right choice we should make or copy from the two. Today is a continuing topic that we can learn from. I remember back in the days when cursing and saying words that are worldly cool were normal and I didn't care who might hear my words. When I came to know the Lord those very words that I was using are now a loud gong in my ears. No wonder I didn't get respect from people back then because I was not representing myself well. Today, when I hear my friends or anyone who curses like me before it really gives me a bad vibe. As a follower of Jesus, we are declared righteous by Jesus and our words should flow with wisdom it means that our natural words or on our mind should be filled with love, joy, peace so pure and uplifting while the perverted tongue that speaks deceit, corruption, gossip, or evil will destroy people and will be silenced and removed according to the Bible. God does not like destructive speech and God blesses those whose words give life. So the question is are your words full of wisdom or full of foolish things? Would you like to be remembered as a person counted among the wise or among the fools, in life there are always two sides to the coin and what we choose today determines how we represent ourselves and to God.

Dear Lord, fill our hearts with Your wisdom so that our words may bring life and truth.
Guard our heart and lips from cursing and speaking deceit or harm, and help our mouth reflect Your character all the days of our life so every hearer will see that You can change and transform a person’s life from a mouth full of trash to a mouth that is a fountain of life that flows In Jesus’ name, amen.
