1 Thessalonians 4:11–12 NIV
“And to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.”

Reflection
I personally like to have a quiet life but don't we all? The Bible tells us that a quiet life does not mean idleness, or sitting around all day in a peaceful and quiet corner. A “quiet life” here is a life marked by peace, humility, and integrity. Instead of being restless, comparing ourselves to others, or being a nuisance in the affairs of our neighbor, believers are told to focus on their own responsibilities and honor God through honest work, not be dependent on people so that we will earn respect. There is a saying “to mind your own business” and I think we know how it feels when somebody crosses our private and personal line of space. I think we get what the Bible is trying to tell us by experience and through His word aligns perfectly.

Dear Lord, help us to live a life of peace, humility, and diligence. Teach me to focus on our own responsibilities and not meddle with the personal space of our neighbor. Bless the works of our hands as we honor everything into you Lord in Jesus' name we pray Amen.

1 Thessalonians 4:7 NIV
“For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.”

Reflection
Our faith in God and the reason why we follow Him does not end by just knowing Jesus but more about living in a way that reflects His character. The bible reminds us that God’s calling is not casual and He call us to be holy. Holiness simply means being set apart for God, walking in purity, and living in obedience to His Word. The world we live in today promotes deception and distorts the truth that sin is normal and everyone is doing it and that we shouldn't be bothered because God will forgive us because He is loving. This kind of influence takes people to hell because as God’s children, we are called to a higher level of living not about perfection nor on our strength but about Him who laid His life for us, our surrender, His death, and resurrection it's all about these things. When we live a holy life, we don’t just honor God we also influence others to know the difference between what is right from wrong in the eyes of God. So remember living a holy life becomes a powerful testimony that points people to Christ so live Holy because God is Holy.

Dear Lord, thank You for calling us to be light for others but we can effectively do that if we set an example by living holy and pure in Your eyes. Help us with our struggles and lead us out of temptation to blend in with the world. Teach us to surrender daily and choose to be set apart from sin and of this world in Jesus' name we pray Amen.

Isaiah 40:31 NIV
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.”

Reflection
I have an episode of anxiety when I feel I am not doing something about a situation, there are times in our life where we keep running and pursuing something unreachable that diminishes our energy both physically and spiritually. Do you go to church and listen to Sunday messages by the pastor does it give you hope and replenish your strength? Some do but some don't either way life goes on with constant demands, pressure, and unexpected challenges that test our faith and endurance. Isaiah 40:31 strength is found not in striving, but in hoping in the Lord.
The word “hope” in the Lord means to trust, wait, and expect with confidence that God is working, even when we can’t see it. There are days when we can't be stopped moving forward but other days we just can't take another step, we all will get tired at some point, physically, emotionally, and spiritually that is why God doesn’t just give strength to the strong but He also renews the weary. So today don't expect to always be strong acknowledge that we need a helper, pause, and plug into the power of the Lord through prayer and quiet time to recharge with Him. So where in your life do you need renewed strength ask the Lord now.

Dear Lord, forgive us when we try to handle everything in our lives alone. Today, will you renew our strength as we acknowledge that we are not always strong as we are weakened by trials and storms of life. Teach us to seek you for renewed strength. Lift us up during our hardships and bad seasons of life and let us walk forward without fearand with faithh in Jesus name we pray amen.
