Do you know why they call postpartum the SILENT KILLER ?
Because it is. Silent.
It doesn’t always look like tears and breakdowns.
It doesn’t always look like someone falling apart.
Sometimes, it looks like a new mom snuggling her baby close…
Taking all the photos. Soaking in the moments. Smiling.
Sometimes, it looks like the mom at the well child checkup, proudly listing milestones... “they’re sleeping great, eating well, doing amazing!”
It looks like she’s got it all together. Like she’s thriving.
Like she doesn’t have a single bad day.
But behind that smile?
She might be drowning.
She might be holding it all in, because everyone told her this should be the happiest time of her life.
She might be scared to say she’s struggling, afraid of judgment, afraid they’ll think she’s a bad mom.
So she suffers in silence. And nobody sees it… until it’s too late.
That’s why they call it the silent killer.
Because it hides behind the highlight reel.
Behind the “I’m fine.”
Behind the good mom who’s doing her best to keep it all together.
Check on her.
Really check on her.
The ones who seem the strongest are often the ones holding the most in.
