What inspired me the most wasn’t just the sport.. it was his vision, perseverance, and genuine heart to serve the next generation.

I honestly thought “Multo” was only about love.

Then Raphaell Ridao shared something I didn’t expect.

During the pandemic, he and his brother wrote the song while carrying grief, frustration, unanswered questions, and dreams that suddenly had to stop.

The song became their outlet.

A way to breathe.

A way to move forward.

Maybe that’s why millions of people connected with it.

Because almost everyone has experienced loss…

regret…

self-doubt…

or asking,

“What if?”

🎙️ Guest: Raphaell Ridao of Cup of Joe

“Kapag nasa zone na ako…”

That’s how Rapha, vocalist and songwriter of Cup of Joe, described both songwriting and pickleball.

For him, they’re surprisingly similar.

🏓 In pickleball, the ball goes back and forth.
🎶 In songwriting, ideas and lyrics do the same.

Some shots land.
Some don’t.

Some lyrics stay.
Some don’t.

But when he gets in the zone, everything slows down. He’s fully present, enjoying the process instead of chasing perfection.

Maybe that’s why creativity and sports have more in common than we think.

Sometimes, the best ideas come when you’re simply present.
