GAME OF GLORY

We were never made to live for our own glory. That’s what ruined Saul. He chased applause, position, and pride, and it all slipped away. David, on the other hand, lived for one thing: God’s glory. And in doing so, he gained God’s heart.

But what does it mean to live for God’s glory? It’s to recognize who He is, His beauty, holiness, power, and love, and to reflect that truth in how we live. The glory of God is the radiant display of everything that makes Him God. He’s not self-centered in seeking His glory; He’s holy and utterly unique. And the most loving thing He can do is to draw us into that glory through relationship with Him.

That’s why the Bible reminds us: Don’t boast in wisdom, strength, or wealth but in knowing the Lord (Jeremiah 9:23–24). Because when we seek our own glory, we lose everything. But when we live for His, we find everything our souls were made for.

So today, stop striving to be seen and start shining for the One who made you.

REFLECTOR
“…so that the world may believe that You have sent Me.” — John 17:21 NIV

Your walk with Jesus was never meant to stay private. It’s a light meant to shine. Every conversation, every choice, every act of kindness can reveal His love to the people around you. You don’t need to have all the answers or speak perfect words. Sometimes, your quiet faith in hard moments, your forgiveness when wronged, or your peace in the middle of chaos says more about Jesus than any sermon ever could.

God placed you where you are, your workplace, your home, your circle of friends, for a divine reason. When you live close to Jesus, His presence flows through you, touching lives in ways you may never see. So today, don’t just know Jesus, show Jesus. Someone’s eternity might be changed because of your simple faithfulness.

CONSISTENCY
“Blessed is the one...whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on His law day and night.” Psalm 1:1-2 NIV

Knowing Jesus isn’t about checking off a spiritual to-do list, it’s about building a relationship. Like any friendship, it grows through time, presence, and intentional connection. Jesus Himself modeled rhythms that drew Him close to the Father; quiet moments of prayer, Scripture, worship, and solitude. These are pathways to relationship.

When we open His Word, we hear His voice. When we pray, we speak heart to heart with the One who loves us most. When we gather with other believers, our faith is strengthened. And when we fast or pause from the noise of life, our hearts realign with His will.

You don’t have to do it all perfectly. Just show up, again and again. God honors every moment you choose to be with Him. Start small: read a few verses in the morning, whisper a prayer in the middle of your day, and reflect on His goodness before you sleep. Over time, you’ll find that His presence becomes your peace, His Word your anchor, and His love your daily rhythm.

PRESENCE
“Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.” John 14:23 NIV

Have you ever paused to realize that the God who created the universe wants to live in you? Jesus wants to move in, not as a visitor, but as a permanent resident. It’s an incredible promise that we are never alone, never powerless, never without hope.

Yet life often drowns that truth out. We schedule time for God instead of living with God. We give Him a corner of our Sabbath, when He longs to fill every moment of our everyday. Jesus doesn’t want weekend visits, He wants a living, breathing relationship with you. He wants to walk beside you in your work, your worries, your worship, and even your weariness.

Remember, He’s right here. You don’t have to earn His presence nor chase His attention. His love has already made its home in your heart.

Let His presence remind you: you are loved, you are guided, and you are never alone.

HOME WITH HIM
“Abide in me, and I in you… Apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:4–5 (ESV)

Sometimes life feels like running on empty, trying to be strong, loving, and faithful but somehow always drained. That’s because Jesus never meant for us to live disconnected from Him.

To abide means more than just believing, it means belonging. It’s not a weekend visit or a quick prayer before bed. It’s choosing to make Jesus your home. Just like in marriage, when “me” becomes “we,” abiding means letting Jesus into every part of your life, your thoughts, your plans, your pain, your joy.

When you live connected to Him, His strength becomes your strength. His peace fills your chaos. His love flows through your words and actions. You don’t have to force fruit to grow; it happens naturally when you stay close to the Vine.

Jesus isn’t asking you to do more, He’s inviting you to stay with Him. Because apart from Him, life runs dry. But in Him, life overflows.

MORE WITH HIM
John 17:20-21

Life can get so full. Emails, errands, deadlines, and endless to-dos. Sometimes it feels like there’s barely room to breathe, let alone share Jesus. But Jesus never asked us to squeeze Him into our schedule. He wants to walk with us through it.

In His prayer, Jesus longed for us to live so closely connected to Him that His presence flows into every part of our day. When you’re one with Him, the ordinary moments, your conversations, your work, your quiet pauses, become sacred opportunities for His love to shine through you.

You don’t need to do more to share Jesus. You just need to be more with Him.
Because when your life overflows with His presence, people can’t help but notice.

What would change if you saw every interaction today as a chance for Jesus to reach someone through you?
