2006, a time when a professional hair and make up artist is a bit rare to find. My photographer friend convinced me to do make up for his thematic photo shoot. I loved how it made me feel. Livening up faces with colors, being able to express myself through people’s skin and faces. Yes, I was a self taught make up artist when I started. However, this did not stop me from doing various photo shoots, collaborations, some television work, fashion shows, and special events. I did eventually take a MUA course at Kryolan Philippines and Shaw Academy.
In 2010, I provided beauty services to an online casino in Makati where I trained and handled operations for their in house beauty specialists. I am grateful because I learned a lot. I have been blessed to have trained and handled, close to 40 hairstylists and makeup artists. Most of them now doing very well in their respective paths. I have decided to let go of my "Professional Beauty Handler" job in June of 2015.
I focused on making my mark in the bridal industry by providing beauty and coordination services in the special events sector. It was very rewarding because believe it or not, most of my brides are really far from the "bridezillas" we hear about. I was blessed to have kind clients who always treat me and my team well. I took Events Management NCII, gained my trainers methodology and assessors license to make sure my work process is competent and aligned with the Philippine standards.
I took a time off from doing makeup and decided to study Semi Permanent Make Up. I initially took my basic course at APATI (Andy Pasion Asia Training Institute) under Master Andy Pasion. Six months later, I studied Eyebrow Microblading in PhiBrows USA held in Houston, Texas under the perfectionist Master Phivi Tran.
Both Masters trained me to be the best I can be. I am grateful to be trained under these two creative and artistic people. I aim to be the best I can be, to gain respect like my mentors in the SPMU Industry. This is why I work meticulously. I make sure that I give my clients the best of me and I pride myself in my work.
