"Ampalayaan" now streaming! Lyrics below. 🎧 So nagawa pala ito last Feb 5. Ilang beses 'to muntik na ma-scrap dahil it was 'not there' yung feeling nung di ko ma-conek yung kwento and actually yung right order ng riffs - ano yung mauna, chorus etc. May isang riff pa 'to actually na di ko na sinama.

Tapos the next day, nung decluttered na utak ko, mas ok na yung flow. Wala pang title sa notebook cos I remember yung Ampalayaan was the working title I put nung binounce ko to mp3 to soundtrip. I didn't like it then kaya blank title pa din sa notebook, pero it stuck and nagets ko din bakit ko naisip yun.

As simple as it is, I honestly didn't really fully 'get' the song until I got to listen to it na naka 'soundtrip' mode lang yung utak ko and wala sa 'edit/mix/worst-song-evuur' state. 😅

Besides the obvious bitter taste, isa siyang permanent tirahan ng all sorts of mental/emotional, painful experiences na di natin ma-uninstall sa kalooban at pwedeng makaapekto sa present state, in a good or not-so-good way.
