2022, I made a deal with my parents that I will be leaving school to pursue my career, and in return I will be sending my brother to college — a fair bargain, I believed.
When I made that promise, I barely had anything in my bank account, nor did I have any on going brand contracts that could fund my brother’s education.
I stood on my faith that if I took that risk and move to Manila with nothing but the belief that God is able, everything would work out.
Fast forward to 2026, all by God’s grace, my brother finished college!
I couldn’t fully comprehend how it was possible 4 years later, but all I know is that in the times I couldn’t trace His hand (when funding goes uncertain), I had to trust His heart (He will never leave you, nor forsake you).
I didn’t want to take the spotlight away from my brother. After all, this is his finish line. But as I look back on how it all started, I can’t help but celebrate what God has done over the last four years.
To all the breadwinners: your labor will never go unnoticed, even if the burden seems too heavy and was never yours to carry—but you did anyway.
God sees your heart and He will be faithful to let you see your labor come to fruition.
