This is one of the most inspiring episodes of Toni Talks!

His name is Daniel he was wrongly accused of r*pe and was imprisoned for 2 years, dahil lang sa hindi matanggap ng family ng ex gf niya na nakipag break siya para unahin ang pagsisilbi niya sa ministry nila at tapusin muna ang kurso niyang engineering.

Fast forward, during his time sa kulungan nagpatuloy siya sa pag-aaral sa tulong na rin ng mga officials sa kulungan at sa unibersidad na pinapasukan niya, dahil na rin sa matalino siya, in fact base sa kwento niya, he is a math wizard sa department nila kaya nagtulong-tulong sila para mairaos niya yung last sem niya sa college.

Habang nasa kulungan nag aaral siya gamit lang yung mga modules na pinapadala ng mga kaklase niya sa magulang niya. Nag e-exam siya tuwing oras lang din ng dalaw niya, habang may guard na nakabantay. And I think isa sa pinaka nakakamangha dito is hand written lang yung buong thesis niya at kapag may i s-search siya nagpapadala lang siya ng sulat sa mga kakilala niya sa labas para sila ang mag search para sa kanya, and isa sa nakaka touch pa base sa kwento niya, pati mga inmates tumutulong din sa thesis niya.

And nung time ng graduation niya since pandemic, sa facebook live lang sila nakaabang, his graduation was aired on speaker para marinig nila since naka-abang din lahat ng mga inmates para marinig yung pangalan niya.

Daniel: "Pag tawag sa pangalan ko parang magigiba ang selda. "

Toni: Nagsigawan lahat?

Daniel: "Opo, proud po sila eh."

Grabe noh, I never imagined a prison to be that thoughtful. Kwinento niya rin na sinasabi daw ng mga inmates sa kanya "Dan, kung pwede lang paghati-hatian namin yung piyansiya mo para lang makalaya ka gagawin namin" kase daw nasasayangan sila sa future ni Daniel.

So yeah, fast forward, he graduated Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, he's now working as Electrical Engineer, he have 4 PRC licenses (Registered Electrical Engineer 2021, Registered Master Electrician 2021, Registered Master Plummer 2023, and Certified Plant Mechanic) and just now he graduated Masters in Management Major in Environmental Planning umaga nung mismong araw na ininterview siya sa Toni Talks!!!

His story is a powerful reminder that God's plan often involves unexpected twists and turns. What feels like darkness can ultimately lead to a brighter purpose. He's living proof that sometimes, it's the hard times that prepare us for something greater.

"TWO FIL-AM FRIENDS CREATED FAKE MCDONALD'S AD AND SECRETLY HUNG IT IN THE RESTAURANT."

In 2018, friends Jevh Maravilla and Christian Toledo were eating at a McDonald's in Pearland, Texas when they noticed something. The walls were covered with promotional posters featuring happy customers enjoying their food. But none of them were Asian.

Jevh, 21, and Christian, 25, are both Filipino-Americans. They looked at a blank wall and had an idea. What if they put themselves up there?

They spent about a month planning. They took a professional-looking photo of themselves enjoying McDonald's food, designed it to look like an official ad, and paid $85 to have it printed at Office Depot.

The tricky part? Getting it inside the restaurant without anyone noticing.

Jevh bought an old McDonald's employee shirt from a thrift store for $7. He made a fake ID badge that said "Jeff Bergara, Regional Interior Coordinator." With the help of two friends who pretended to be customers and one who filmed, they walked in and hung the poster on the blank wall.

No one questioned them. No one stopped them.

The poster stayed up for 51 days.

On September 3, 2018, Jevh tweeted a photo of himself standing next to it with the caption: "I noticed there was a blank wall at McDonald's so I decided to make this fake poster of me and my friend. It's now been 51 days since I hung it up."

The tweet went viral. Over 900,000 likes. More than 237,000 retweets.

They weren't just pulling a prank. They were making a statement about Asian representation in advertising. Inspired by the success of "Crazy Rich Asians," they wanted to see people who looked like them on the walls of places they frequented.

McDonald's response? They loved it.

The franchise owner said they take pride in diversity and applauded the students' creativity. Ellen DeGeneres invited them on her show. And McDonald's surprised them with $25,000 each to participate in an upcoming marketing campaign.

In the quiet neighborhood of Brgy. La Filipina, Tagum City, the unthinkable happened.

Sophia Marie G. Coquilla, only 19 years old, was brutally murdered inside her own bedroom — in her own home, while her parents were asleep in separate air-conditioned rooms, unaware of the horrific act unfolding just meters away.

She was stabbed 38 times.
She was not heard.
She was not saved.

🎓 Who Was Sophia?

The alleged killers are two minors who entered the Coquilla residence to steal.

When Sophia reportedly woke up, they panicked — and stabbed her 38 times, leaving her lifeless in her own bed.
