When a Parent dies, nothing is the same.
We can no longer be children, we can no longer be carried by their hugs, kisses and words of encouragement. Life seems to get harder because their protective love is no longer there.
When parents are no longer with us, we are orphans and that is difficult regardless of age. Even if you created your family, the face of your parents is imprinted on you for eternity. All of us, even when we are adults, have this living child inside us that wants to be protected at all times by its parents. Turn to their unconditional love when necessary, but when they are gone, that choice is no longer possible!!!
