QUALITY AND AFFORDABILITY AS HISTORY
The Pluma Publications, Inc. has been founded to publish quality and affordable books, journals, periodicals, and modules for K to 12, higher education, and Technical-Vocational Education. It was incorporated and approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on October 27, 2020. Its primary project is to publish textbooks that adheres to the local a
nd international standards for publications and print-out materials such as the Republic Act 8047 also known as “Book Publishing Industry Development Act” and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) crafted by the National Book Development Board (NBDB). For its higher education reference materials, it also uses the Outcomes-Based Education (OBE) Framework to ensure its adaptability to the current curriculum of the Philippine Education System (PES). The creation, development plan, publication, and distribution of the book and other print-out materials depend on the collaboration among its authors, in-house analysts, editors, proofreaders, layout artists, illustrators, book reviewers, sales and marketing staff, quality assurance (QA) team, and its clients. Moreover, it employs the latest technological tools in book development to produce affordable yet quality books for Filipino students, educators, and the general public.
