One egg a week could protect decades of your memory

A recent study has cracked open new hope for brain health, showing that eating just over one egg per week may reduce your risk of developing Alzheimer’s by an incredible 47%.

Researchers found that key nutrients in eggs, including choline, vitamin B12, lutein, and omega-3 fatty acids, play a major role in protecting memory, reducing inflammation, and supporting healthy brain function as we age. These compounds help maintain the integrity of neurons and boost the production of acetylcholine a neurotransmitter vital for learning and memory.

Participants who consumed more than one egg weekly showed better results in cognitive performance tests, memory recall, and attention span. The study also noted lower brain shrinkage rates and delayed mental decline compared to those who ate eggs less frequently.

Choline, found abundantly in egg yolks, is especially important. It has been linked to reduced levels of homocysteine — a compound that increases brain degeneration risk. Combined with lutein, which protects against oxidative stress, eggs become more than just a breakfast staple they’re a brain shield.

So whether boiled, scrambled, or poached, eggs may be a simple yet powerful addition to a memory-preserving diet.

Special non-working holiday naman ang kasunod nitong araw na Biyernes, Oct. 31.

Swiss food giant Nestle, whose brands include Nespresso coffee and Perrier water, will eliminate 16,000 jobs worldwide over the next two years.

The announcement was made by the company's new chief executive, Philipp Navratil, who took the reins in early September.

In a statement, Navratil said, "The world is changing, and Nestle needs to change faster," which includes making "hard but necessary decisions to reduce headcount."

The decision comes as the multinational company published nine-month figures showing sales were down by 1.9 percent to 65.9 billion Swiss francs ($83 billion).

Ito'y upang mabigyan ng pagkakataon ang pagsasagawa ng disinfection, sanitation, at building inspection sa mga paaralan bunsod ng tumataas na kaso ng influenza-like illnesses at ang mga nangyaring lindol sa iba-ibang panig ng bansa.
