IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PILOT PROJECT ON THE RECRUITMENT OF CAREGIVERS UNDER THE EMPLOYMENT PERMIT SYSTEM (EPS)
The Department of Migrant Workers announces the implementation of the Pilot Project on the Recruitment of Caregivers under the Employment Permit System (EPS) Korea. Under the pilot project, 100 Filipino Caregivers with the following qualifications will be recruited, screened, and employed to provide caregiving assistance to eligible Korean households, specifically, those composed of dual-income couples, single-parent families, or families with pregnant women.
1. Female, between 24 to 38 years old as of the first day of the registration;
2. With valid TESDA NCII on Caregiving;

3. Pass two rounds of screening (Korean Language Test, medical and psychological health examination, English screening interview; and physical test
Applicants will be disqualified if found to have:
1. Criminal and drug record;
2. Record of deportation from Korea and travel restriction from the Philippines;
3. Color Blind;
4. More than 5 (five) years stay in Korea with E-9 or E-10 visa
The selected caregivers shall mainly provide assistance to children, including infants, and pregnant women, and assist in carrying out daily activities such as cleaning, laundry, and kitchen work related to caregiving, and other duties necessary and desirable to his/ her function as caregiver.
The caregivers will be directly under the employ of certified agencies which are
accredited by the MOEL under strict standards, and which will ensure equal treatment from their employers under labor standards and protection of human rights.
The DMW and MOEL-HRDK will undertake the recruitment and hiring procedure for the caregivers from May to July 2024.
Successful candidates will undergo the required pre-departure and post-arrival
Orientation/briefing. Korean households will likewise required to undergo orientation.
