Yellowbeak Penguin Zebra Finch
is a highly specific, rare combination of two distinct Zebra Finch color mutations bred in captivity.

The "Yellow-Beak" Mutation:
An autosomal recessive trait that replaces the standard bright red (male) or deep orange (female) beak with a distinct pale yellow or light orange beak.

The "Penguin" Mutation:
A recessive mutation that suppresses melanin (dark pigments) on the underparts of the bird. This leaves the bird with a stark white chest and underbelly (completely lacking the usual black breast bar or zebra throat stripes) paired with a darker gray or fawn upper body and wings. Males still retain their classic bright orange cheek patches and flanks.
